Waiter has attitude when I ask for things like plate and water.
It was a great experience. The staff helped me pick a dish and with how to eat it. I went with the Banh Xeo one of their most popular dishes. Almost every table had at least one.
Quan Mii was recommended to me as the place for banh xeo. I finally stopped by to try the food here and was pleasantly pleased.
* Special Banh Xeo with shrimp, pork, and squid 5/5 - They're known for their banh xeo and I can see why. The banh xeo was huge. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. There was also a charred flavor and texture that enhanced the taste. There was a good amount of toppings. The accompanying sauce was also very good.
* Banh Beo Hue (Steamed Rice Flour Cakes with Shredded Shrimps) 3.5/5 - The rice flour cakes were quite plain and the sauce that came with it was a very mild sweet fish sauce. It didn't help the flavor. I ate these with the banh xeo fish sauce and it was much better.
* Grilled Lemongrass Pork with Steamed Rice 4.5/5 - This was really good. The rice was slightly chewy, almost like sushi rice. There was a bite to it. The lemongrass beef was flavorful. The special sauce the dish came with was amazing. It was mildly salty, sweet, and tangy. Everything that dipped in it became twice as delicious.
* Thai Tea 3.5/5 - Good drink, but contained too much ice (3/4 of the whole cup).
If you're craving for banh xeo and or banh beo, this is the spot. It can get busy at times, go early or late lunch.
Food is ok. Service sucks. Ask 3 times for a water refill, the guy finally came and refill it half way soI asked to just fill it all the way up and he filled 3 quarter and my girlfriend only half way. Terrible service
Not a typical Vietnamese Pho restaurant that is ubitiquous in southern california. Very different menu thar what you are used to seeing. Food was unique and delicious.
Very Good Banh Xeo and Thit Cuon Banh Trang. Bun Bo Hue is okay. Lot of space and the place is clean. service is attentive too.
Great tasting bun xeo
Best bahn xeo around. Fabulous!
I love this place. They run a tight ship. Great Food, and they have a great menu
Restaurantji Recommends
I’m still shocked sitting here wondering how they’re able to charge almost $20 for this bowl of “bun bo hue”. Everything was super bland except for that 1 single piece of pork roll. I don’t recommend this dish at all. Maybe try other stuff on their menu but definitely not this one. The price & the taste ain’t matching. Crazy!
Great food!
Banh xeo is absolute fire
Over the past few years I’ve been a local and frequently coming to this place with my family to eat. I was surprised on how the quality of food has gone down, for example the “Bún bò Huế”dish, not only that the prices has been raised by a whole lot.
I got some egg rolls for Togo, but it didn't have any vegetables that came with it. Just eggs rolls and fish sauce 😯
