Roasting Water & 199 Restaurant

Admittedly ive only tried a blended ice coffee drink from here but I take my fiance here often. She absolutely loves this place so if she approves i can vouch it's a good spot.

I just came out of Roasting waters and the new Manager or Employee , She's an asian mid 40's or 50's Female . I'm not sure what her position is but she was extremely rude. She did not let us each choose our bottle , Although we were Literally paying for it ! The lobby was EMPTY no customers before nor after us ,Poor customer service from her . She greeted a close friend/family member and treated him better than the customers! I'm never going back there again.

Not the experience I remember. Unfortunately, my recent visit was disappointing. The staff member who assisted me came off as unwelcoming and lacked patience. It also appears that glass bottles are no longer offered, which is understandable given changing costs, but this wasn’t clearly communicated. especially if there’s now an additional charge.

I ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba and a strawberry lemonade. The milk tea had very little boba, which was underwhelming. Overall, this visit didn’t meet my expectations, and I likely wouldn’t return if I had the choice.

Wasn't above par as I expected it to be after being used to the level of service that the store on Westminster & Bch has displayed on multiple different occasions....there were even noticeable differences in their drinks which was, personally, the biggest letdown!

It’s been going down in quality for a good while now. The staff don’t know what they are doing. Ever since the restaurant opened inside. After today’s mess up it’s not worth the drive. Sucks to let go of a good coffee spot but they I hope the restaurant does better.

I had reviewed this 5 stars when I first found it and for a long time everything was great and kept the 5 stars. For the last couple years, specially since the addition of the restaurant, the service, quality and taste of the drinks have ridiculously decreased. Today, I asked if everything was right -since the last few times there's always an ingredient missing- I was told everything was perfect. When I got back home, the RW coffee was missing the sea salt and the white peach lemonade is missing whatever sweetener they normally use. All I have is a sour lemon drink.

Definately don't recommend.

A hidden boba shop that just happens to serve pho and other food options. They don't specialize in pho and only have one variety (prime rib pho), but it slaps and is jam packed with meat! Only 10 bux and comes with a free small drink of your choice.

Unfortunately I had to deduct a star for lack of consistency. The pho ranges from amazing to just average, and I suspect it depends on the time of day. Try to come in the mornings.

WENT WITH A FRIEND 2 SEPARATE ORDER . I ORDER 2 MANGO LEMONADES . MY FRIEND ORDER 3 MANGO LEMONADE. THEY EXCHANDED 2 DRINKS . BUT THEY TOLD MY FRIEND WITH 3 DRINKS THEY COULDNT CHANGE 5 TOLD DRINKS. WHEN HIS ORDER WAS SEPARATE. THE LADY DENIED TO EXCHANGE BAD LEMONADE DRINKS AND DID NOT OFFER REFUND.

I had the rib pho, the bowl is large and flavorful. My husband said the broth wasn't the traditional pho broth, but was good.

Monique was great at customer service. She was very busy!! Despite being busy she made me feel valued and explained everything I asked. She didn’t rush me or my family and improvised very well. She also re made my drink with no hesitation. I could tell her team didn’t want to but she made it happen. She deserves more respect from them. I would recommend and come back. I didn’t try the food but it looked and smelled great. If they made my drink right the first time I would’ve rated a 5 star. Also they ran out of Boba and avocado drink which I was looking forward to, but like I said it was busy and towards the evening night time.

So, for anyone who doesn't already know, yesterday March 14, 2024 marked thebeginning of the new “Roasting Water 199 Restaurant''. For me, personally, and maybe some others too, we saw it as the return of Nha Hang 1.99’s food menu because for those who don’t know, before Roasting water, it was Nha Hang 1.99 and when it was converted to a boba tea house, it was Nha Hang no more (“nha hang” means “restaurant” in Vietnamese). If you’re searching to learn more about the promo, here’s what you need to know:- Each food item is on special only on their specified dates, which can be found below their advertised promotional price in the Grand Opening menu. This promotion will run through the remainder of March until mid April- Each food item requires the purchase of a Roasting Water beverage to get the promotional price- Available only for dine-in, there is no To Go and there is an extra charge for to go containersFinally, if you’re wondering if it’s as good as it used to be, I’d say it’s exactly just that, and now with fancier drinks!

I had came in to get boba but my daughter also needed to use the bathroom before we ordered. Right as I came through the door and towards to cashier while my daughter was going towards the bathrooms. The cashier who was a short Asian male with glasses, said immediately "bathrooms are for only customers" I told him I was going to order and he still was not letting my daughter go to the bathroom. No apology was made when we were ordering. It was just very rude when we were just trying to order and use the bathroom. I will not be coming back to this location as there are plenty of other locations with better customer service.
