Great quality fish but I'm sad to report that I think they're out of business. The last few time I went there during posted open hours there was no one there, no fish in the cooler and a lockbox on the door

Stopped by Ocean's Yield that sits within a strip of businesses to see what was available on New Year's Eve. The staff were friendly and really helpful in explaining availability of different seafood items. To celebrate later after a big meal, we decided to try the Hasselback caviar and some hamachi, and turned out to be terrific choices. If we had larger stomachs, we would have tried their fresh oysters and other options (eg, king crab legs, other types of sashimi grade fish). The hamachi we purchased was pristine as sashimi as it had a succulent texture and tasted rich and delicious. The caviar was also excellent with a briny pop. Wish we lived closer to support them more often as we appreciate their making their products available to the public in addition to serving restaurants.

My Hubs found The Ocean's Yield while looking for fresh raw oysters. Based on reading other Yelp reviews, it looks like they started selling to the public where as they used to be wholesale only. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. The store is located in a office complex; very plain jane with other suites selling blinds, paint, etc..looks like where you'd find an office for a dentist, small claims lawyers, or tax guys. Sorry, but you know. It doesn't pop. The store is very simple with minimal decor, 2 desks, a fish tank, a freezer, and a display case. And THAT is the extent of mediocre. I bought 1 lb Ora King Salmon ($15 w the 50% off special) and 9 oysters to test out the quality. We are not experienced shuckers but my Hubs did the grunt work. All three were very fresh and clean but to each their own on what's the "best." The Kumo was super salty and small in size, the UFOs were almost three times bigger than the rest but almost too meaty(?), the kusshi were the smallest but best in overall size and saltiness of the water. We cooked the salmon in oil and finished it with roasted garlic herb butter. I could not describe the melt in your mouth deliciousness. Was it because of the freshness? Was the salmon more marbled than what I've previously bought? Maybe both. All I know is we are fans! Definitely worth stopping in if you're a home cook and know how to cook seafood. The freshness is unrivaled! Just a note to Ocean's Yield; I was not 100% sure which ones you could cook and which you should not. It would be awesome if there was a note regarding suggestions on how to handle each item. A gentleman was there at the same time and asked if any of the oysters were grilling options but all were suggested to eat as raw. Good to know!

Stopped in today and got some bluefin tuna from Will. He is super knowledgeable and really helped me out when it came to deciding which cut of bluefin I was going to get. This place is small but a hidden gem. They used to just serve restaurants but decided to open to the public. I'm glad they did. I will definitely return.

Pretty decent place to get DIY sashimi. They don't have a wide selection of fish available, but the ones in stock (usually salmon, tuna, scallops and uni) are really fresh. I also enjoy the frozen wasabi bags you can get here, way better than the green wasabi tubes at the market.

Snow Crabs were frozen. We can understand and accept that. But when we reheated them and ate, we just tasted a flavor of death!! Not fresh at all!! No idea how long they have been frozen!! My boyfriend almost throw up after one bite of one of them and get all out of his mouth !!So disappointed!!

Totally discouraged from what their website claims and displayed only a bunch of old frozen fish - I'd rather shop fresh from the Japanese market-

I got some oysters, uni and a toro here. It was amazing and fresh. Definitely will be back to order more

Randomly stopped in (thanks Yelp) and picked up some yellowtail and scallops. The prices were slightly higher than expected, but the quality was significantly higher than expected. The scallops were obviously of the dry variety and tasted like butter. No searing. No flavoring. Just raw nature at its finest. Since dry scallops aren't treated with sodium tripolyphosphate, they're actually lighter, so even if more expensive than wet scallops, you're getting more scallop (and flavor) for your money.

Small store front in a business complex with an even smaller display case. Many of the fish shown on their board were not available when we went and they no longer carry whole wasabi root (other options are available). However, the fish that was available was of great quality and we enjoyed it very much. Highly suggest to anyone looking to make their own sushi at home. We will return soon I'm sure!

Repeat customer here. It's hard to find consistently good seafood and this place has quality you can taste and expect every time.

Customer service and product quality are both spectacular. They had the best price for premium grade sea urchin, and it was exactly what my dad wanted for his birthday. Their oyster selection is also great- whether you are looking to grill them or shuck and eat them raw! Will be returning soon to get some for the grill this spring break

Amazing place to check out. Duper fresh oysters and uni! Price is pretty decent as well.
