We shared a wonderful meal at Au Luc, hosted by My. The restaurant’s unique opening time is rooted in numerology, symbolizing flexibility and fluidity. The ambiance was exquisite, and the flavors reflected a harmonious blend of Vietnamese, French, and Chinese traditions—crafted with love in two kitchens. Even our friend, a lifelong vegetarian, delighted in trying a “shrimp that never swam” at this all-vegan restaurant.

The food here is 100% vegan and amazingly delicious! I invited a friend to join me and she was so impressed with the restaurant and the food. The service was excellent, too. We hadn't seen each other in a long time and were happy that the music wasn't too loud.

I recommend Áu Ląc to anyone who enjoys great food., even non-vegans.

We have been here twice in 2 weeks. We were shopping in Fountain Valley and searched for a vegan place to eat. We were very happy to find Au Lac. The restaurant is lovely and the staff are the nicest people. They are very happy to serve you and chat for a while. The food is delicious. There are so many options cooked or raw. Each visit, you can try something new. Come and give Au Lac a try. They are closed between lunch and dinner and Mondays, so check the hours before you go. These are the delicious entrees we have tried so far: Egg Rolls Steamed Jicama Rolls Wonton soup Tradition soup Royal Noodle soup Chicken Ro-Ti with Tomato rice Curry Chicken Garden Stir-fry Black rice Kung Pao Chicken Coffee Cake Ube cake All excellent

All the food here is amazing! There are two kitchens: one for standard fare, and the other with raw food. One location, so you can mix and match. The cooks and the servers are the nicest people you will ever meet on this planet. We have been here twice but I'm writing this on our second visit. In the future, I'll make sure to check in. Because we will definitely be back.

Delicious; I will definitely go again. Do note, the Fountain Valley location is a lower key atmosphere than the one in LA. The menus are different as well. Both have excellent food and service 😊

Have a whole raw “living” section in the menu. Wish I could have tried it all! Only wish they had more desserts with dates or other natural raw sweeteners. They all had sugar or maple syrup. Updated from previous review on 2025-05-16

The food is always 10 stars. I've never had a dish here that wasn't phenomenal. I've had the yellow curry, fried rice, salads, nuggets, desserts, and a few other things and it has all been so good. They are the best at what they do, in my opinion. If I want to wow people, I take them here. The servers are very knowledgeable and nice, and the vibes are chill!

Delicious vegan Vietnamese food, friendly service, amazing teas. We had the beef Pho, tofu spring rolls, barbecue pork spring rolls, and ginger tea. Everything was exquisite. The spring rolls were wrapped in brown rice paper which I loved and had never seen before. Definitely will be a regular here from now on whenever I’m in town!

They have the open sign lit up but wouldn't seat us. Seemingly, they dont stay open past 8:30 even though it says 9:30 closing. I asked them to update their hours on Google for clairty, but they refused and said we just need to call if we plan on coming again, to double-check if the hours are right day by day. First, they said they were completely closed. Then they said they're open for takeout. When we tried to order, they said some dishes weren't available. But then they'd change their mind and say they are. I guess, just based on whatever they felt like making. What we got for takeout was confusing. They left out so many of the ingredients that were listed in the menu item descriptions. And they gave us a stack of hard, unprepared rice paper wrappers along with components of each dish we ordered. A lot of what we ordered was forgotten entirely.. and this was a $100 order! We didn't even realize this until we got back to our hotel. But before we left, they offered us a free piece of cake. I dont feel like that makes up for all the problems Updated from previous review on 2025-04-03
