You order at the front and take your own seat. The service could have been a little better. Only checked on us once to see if we was good. For the food it came out really fast and my steak was served a little on the cold side which makes me think everything is precooked. The seasoned broccoli was really tangy and too rich made me cough. The potatoes were good nice flavor and maybe could have let them soften a little more. Bread was fair. All in all I enjoyed the small setting which me and my date were able to talk without having to talk loud.

It was so nice to stumble upon an urban plates near Huntington Beach. We needed healthier eating options.
I had the surf and turf plate with the beet and goat cheese salad and Mac and cheese.
What I loved about coming here was learning they use grass fed beef. That’s a huge win for me as I try to only eat beef that is grass fed. It also shows me urban plates is keeping up with the health trends.
The garlic shrimps are so yummy too. They had so much flavor and were not fishy tasting at all. I would highly recommend.
What I also loved is that they brought our food out to us and I believe it was one of the chefs that brought it out. He also recommended a yummy sauce to dip my steak into because I like a little spice.
This is the perfect place to come grab lunch or dinner when you don’t have time to go to a full service sit down restaurant.
The service was really amazing and I can’t wait to come back!

Normally I enjoy Urban Plates very much. Unfortunately, this location felt very unorganized and the beef was cooked more well than I liked even though I selected medium rare.
I recommend other locations as the staff was more attentive and made sure I got my order as soon as it was ready.
