My first time going. Thanks to a great friends recommendation. We all order serval dishes to try and share amongst us all. A great way to try many of their dishes and share with your friends. We were a group of 9 people including some kids. They loved the food. I recommended the tea salad was not expecting a combination of so many ingredients to taste completely different then ehat was on my plate the lightness of the dressings to the many textures then i expected. I loved our server she told us order 1 rice of each if you wanna try them and if you would like more ,I can bring you guys more. The coconut rice with any spicy dish balances out perfect not over pwoering another dish. I loved the salt n paper shrimp as well everything was made when we order and fresh and hot. I know I will be back with my child again.

Excellent food! Every item ordered had great flavor. Exceeded our expectation. Be sure to get the tea leaf salad.

Came in on a Saturday afternoon while craving some noodle soup! I love Burmese food and my go-to is always the Moh Hin Gha. I prefer the more authentic Burmese food compared to the more fusion-y ones; and this one hits the spot!! The food arrived quickly and was hot, fresh and flavourful! Server (I forgot his name!) was also really friendly and nice. He told me the place opened 5 months ago. It also seemed clean and spacious. I really liked that their water had a hint of cucumber in it - was a nice touch. :) I'm so glad to have found this place in the South Bay - hope it doesn't change!!

Food is absolutely delightful, wait staff is pleasant and professional. It can be very loud for a small space, but the experience is worth it.

Excellent delicious food. Love the tea salad. Customer service is really great. However, the ambience is a little plain and it gets pretty cold when the front door opens.

Whoa! We have tried a lot of Burmese places but this is a definite standout winner. One may measure the experience by the mohinga ( Burma's signature breakfast staple soup) and it is very flavorful here. Also, the tea leaf salad: the best we've seen in years and equal to the versions I've had in Mandalay and Rangoon. Give it a try! And best wishes to the forces of democracy in Burma.

Highly highly recommend. They have a variety of options and all the dishes we ordered were super tasty. I held a company lunch here earlier this year and they had a dish for every diet restriction The service was great and everything was delicious This was around 1130 am on a weekday and it was not that busy - I am not sure how crowded they get but lunchtime seemed ok in terms of wait time and available seating

Went on a Friday evening at around 9pm and got seated right away. Pretty big place and lots of seating and tables. Parking was easy to find, they have a parking lot shared with other businesses. I ordered the tea leaf salad, garlic noodles, and garlic and eggplant. The salad isn't for everyone, the peanuts for that crunch factor wasn't for me. The eggplant was my favorite. I love when it's soft. The garlic noodles was average, not a strong garlic flavor. Service was great. Staff seemed to all work together instead of "focusing on only their section" because I had different waitresses refilling my drink and accommodating to my requests. But the next day the food didn't sit right with me or my bf. I was making multiple trips to the bathroom. Maybe Burmese food isn't for me but it was good to try!

I've been here for take-out a few times. The food is excellent, and I'm so happy to see one more good Burmese restaurant around. However, the service and communication skills here are nothing short of apathetic. Picking up a call-in to-go order should be straightforward, so it's a little mystifying that they can get that wrong. The last few times I came here, pick-up orders went to the side door, located on the north-facing side of the restaurant (main doors for sit-down eating, on the other hand, are on the west-facing side). I waited for ~30min at the side door for my call-in order, per the paper sign on the side door saying "Pick-up orders here." Several waiter/waitresses saw me and another gentleman waiting for a while, even with no apparent pending orders that I could see in their queue, and didn't think to ask us what we were waiting for. I finally managed to get their attention, only to find that call-in orders are now picked up in the main restaurant area, NOT at the side door. Only DoorDash orders go through the side door, apparently. The waitress said the sign on the side door says "Door-Dash orders only." Actually, no, it doesn't. TL;DR: Please pick up call-in orders at the main entrance, Door-Dash pick-ups via the side door. I hope that saves someone else some time.

Burma Bay Restaurant is an absolute gem in Fremont! From the moment we arrived for an early dinner on a Saturday, we were impressed. Despite being located in a busy plaza, there were plenty of parking spaces available, including convenient Tesla super chargers. The interior is spacious and modern, with possible seating for large groups and a charming wine bar area. Our experience started on a refreshing note with cucumber water, it's a thoughtful touch that set the tone for what was to come. As first time diners of Burmese cuisine, we were pleasantly surprised by the flavorful offerings. We ordered five dishes: 1. Samosas: Crispy and delicious, these curry potato filled delights were elevated by the special house sauce, a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. 2. Basil & Dry Chili Lamb: Expertly cooked and wonderfully aromatic, this dish impressed with its well balanced flavors. The combination of onion, lamb, and chili was a standout. 3. Burmese Shrimp: A personal favorite, the shrimp was perfectly cooked and marinated, while the sautéed sauce boasted rich seafood flavors, an absolute delight. 4. Burmese Pad Thai: Served with lettuce and peanuts separate on the side, this dish brought a playful element to the table. The Pad Thai itself was satisfying and expertly prepared. 5. Pineapple Fried Rice: While this dish didn't shine as brightly as the others, the fresh pineapple was a welcome addition, despite a slight lack of flavor. Overall, our dining experience at Burma Bay was exceptional. With a bill of around $70 for five dishes (and a free appetizer thanks to a Yelp check in), the quality and value offered here are unmatched. I wholeheartedly recommend Burma Bay to anyone seeking top notch Burmese cuisine in Fremont. It's a culinary gem that deserves to be noticed!

New place on the block! We love Burmese food so had to try! Already been back a second d time! The tea leaf salad is awesome and tastes better when you eat there and they do the tossing and Mixing for you. We've had it to go as well, and it was just better for dine in. The garlic noodles are delicious and so were the green beans that we got spicy! We also got the palata with the veg dip and it had awesome flavours and a delicious flaky paratha! We came in on a Saturday night and it was fully packed- so that's always a good sign! Service was quick too :) also. Try the Burmese tea- so creamy and delicious!

This place is so good and the service was amazing!! The gentleman working there with the tattoos gave us the most awesome service ever! Was super friendly, always had a smile on his face and always checked up on us! Everyone there also came by to make sure everything was good and always cleared our table when we finished a plate so it kept our table super clean! The food was top tier! I've never had Burmese food before so this place definitely made me fall in love with Burmese food! Everything tasted super clean and didn't leave me feeling heavy. The tea leaf salad was delicious, salt and pepper calamari was fried to perfection and the calamari was nice and soft (not chewy or tough to each), the tofu pumpkin curry was SOOOO amazing, I enjoyed it so much, the Burmese shrimp was so flavorful, and the shrimp salad wrap was awesome! The restaurant is super spacious with lots of seating! I came during lunch time and it was pretty busy. I can see why it was so busy, the food is amazing! Can't wait to come back to try some other things on their menu!

My review is based entirely on experience. This month the cafe is featuring 20% off your entire bill for the month of February, I have visited a few times this month and have received the 20% as advertised. Tonight, however; I was told this only applies to dine in patrons. I HATE inconsistencies and further annoyed when I point out an inconsistency and it falls on deaf ears. I know for a fact my neighbor has taken food to go and received the 20% off as well this month. I have taken a photo from your website that advertises your 20% off for this month. I would suggest that staff know what the specials are in regards to your establishment before they inform customers incorrectly. Your locals in your neighbor hood would like to support, help us to do that by providing consistent service.

Complex Burmese flavors in a clean environment. Burma Bay Cafe was a hit with the family! We came for lunch on a Sunday. We were promptly greeted and seated, and given water and menus, which included a wine menu. My family of 4 ordered the tea leaf salad, pepper calamari, coconut soup, pepper steak, and Burmese garlic noodles. While all the food was flavorful, my favorites were the tea leaf salad and the coconut soup. The portion sizes were quite reasonable. We came in hungry, left satisfied, and still had left overs. The salad was by far my favorite due - it was refreshing, crunchy, salty, and a little bitter. The coconut soup was creamy, slightly sweet, slightly salty, with a little kick of heat. The calamari appetizer, pepper beef, and garlic noodles came with side condiments to layer on spicy and sweet flavors to personal our taste and all were delicious. The kids particularly enjoyed the garlic noodles, which had a slight spicy kick, but wasn't too much. Service was friendly and responsive. Parking was easy. One star off because it wasn't exactly a cheap meal, but prices are on par with similar restaurants in the area.
