Something changed! While walking the dogs, we stopped by Sweet Orchid. It's been a minute since we were here last, pre-pandemic. We would come fairly often for a gelato/espresso and have been very pleased with the quality of their gelato, up until this visit. It would appear that Sweet Orchid is under new ownership. I only order the taro vanilla cake because it is their signature and my personal favorite flavor! I really like the color and presentation and the taste quality is delicious! It tastes light, creamy and has crispy white chocolate crips in the middle which adds a nice crunch touch!Whenever I pick up my order is always ready on time and they are very nice and friendly. I had this place bookmarked to check it out. You do not get to taste the flavors of the gelato so it's pretty much a tossup. I chose the chocolate sorbetto. It was OK a little weird flavor though. The taro cake was tasty. The chocolate and the red velvet were pretty dry. The cream cheese on the red velvet was good. But I don't think that the cakes were fresh. $26.24 for three slices of cake and sorbetto.
