We came here with a group of friends. The burrito was bland and only had the option for refried beans. Guac and sour cream on the side, not in the burrito. Others had dinner plates and it all looked like bland mush. The Margaritas tasted terrible and had virtually no alcohol in them. Won't be back here.

The burrito was ok, but the margarita was the worst I’ve ever had: poor taste and virtually no detectable tequila.

The food looked good but didn't taste good. The flavor was off and lavked seasoning. The salsa wasn't spicy and lacked flavor. The chips were good. They server got my order wrong and tried to correct and still brought the wrong thing. We were never asked how did the food taste. We were never asked if we needed anything. There was a lack of interest displayed. The Margarita was not cold and had very little ice.

Got the fried red snapper with the garlic sauce. It was good. Only complaint was they only have 3 tortillas for such a large fish

I just had a Mexican taco salad. It was perfect. The quantity of the ingredients were such that they blended perfectly, creating a robust flavorful experience.

A vibrant yet casual Mexican dining experience—with a few ups and downs worth noting. The atmosphere pulses with energy, thanks to its colorful décor, full bar, lively music, and Fremont’s largest 100% blue‑agave tequila selection—over 300 bottles strong. They offer a full happy hour, tequila tastings, and a solid Sunday brunch buffet decked with margarita pitchers that are consistently praised
On the food front, standout dishes include the spinach-pesto veggie enchiladas—one Yelp reviewer called them “AMAZING”—and the salsa verde chicken enchiladas are a reliable favorite. Carnitas fajitas also receive praise for hearty portions and great flavor. Service is often described as friendly and attentive, contributing to the welcoming vibe.
Pros:
• Lively, colorful atmosphere with a top-tier tequila bar & happy hour
• Generous portions—especially enchiladas, fajitas, burritos
• Friendly, enthusiastic staff and brisk service
Cons:
• Food consistency varies—some dishes lean bland or oily
• Drinks caliber (margaritas) can fluctuate depending on the bartender
• Casual dining—don’t expect gourmet finesse
All in all, La Piñata is a solid spot if you’re after fun vibes, big servings, and tequila variety. Just temper expectations around food consistency and drink quality on an off-night.

I haven't eaten here in a long time and wanted to check them out. I had a combo plate with two enchiladas, a taco, rice, beans. And pickled carrots. The meat i chose were chicken mole, chili Verde, and shredded beef. Everything was super tasty, hot, and served pretty quickly. I will be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ La Piñata – Fremont’s Flavor Fiesta!
La Piñata in Fremont never disappoints, and our recent visit was just as consistent as the last visit!
First off, shoutout to Nick—his service was absolutely exceptional. Attentive, friendly, and quick with recommendations, he made sure our table was well taken care of from start to finish. It's rare to find service this genuine and on point.
Now let’s talk food—the deep-fried fish was golden, crispy, and bursting with flavor. It paired perfectly with the house salsas and warm tortillas. The lingua quesadilla? Next level. Tender, rich, and packed with flavor, it was a melt-in-your-mouth experience you won’t soon forget.
And of course, no trip to La Piñata is complete without a pitcher of their signature margaritas. Refreshing, balanced, and just the right strength—they keep the good vibes flowing and are perfect for sharing.
From food to service to atmosphere, La Piñata Fremont is firing on all cylinders. Already planning our next visit!

-Super friendly and prompt service which is always appreciated.
-average Americanized style Mexican food and margaritas (margs are a bit too sugary).
-located in a typical, cookie-cutter strip mall amidst a grocery store and various other chain stores and coffee shops with a crazy parking lot situation.
Not the most inviting place to “dine in,” but definitely works for take out. They’re consistent, so we always know what we’re going to get.
