Very good Malaysian food, close to what we had tasted while touring Malaysia. This will be one of our goto lunch/dinner place for a change.
Mingala is a hidden gem in Fremont! Their bak kut teh nails the balance—rich, peppery broth with tender ribs but none of the overpowering herbal “medicine” bite. The hae mee bursts with deep prawn sweetness, every slurp tasting like fresh-boiled shrimp shells in the best way.
Wonderful little Malaysian restaurant that's perfect for family visits or dates. The food is excellent and the owners are friendly. Fremont is so lucky to have Mingala in its food scene.
This used to be a very good place for Malay food. After Tuesday, would not come again. The roti was flat thick not fluffy, the bak kut teh was not there, temperature just not hot etc. just a very disappointed meals.
Not very authentic Singapore food. Laksa is not what we expect. Hainan chicken is ok but the sauce is not right.
We had lunch based on the great reviews. Disappointed.
Bustling Southeast Asian in South Bay, serving Malaysian and Burmese classics to a largely Asian dining clientele.
Tea Leaf Salad gets all the flavor profiles right — unctuous, nutty, savory, but still citrusy and light.
Excellent for to-go and delivery, as hot items are stored in a hot closet till pickup. A great option when ordering-in for a relaxed family dinner at home.
Food is really good. But the service can be improved. We waited for 30+ mins for our food because the orders was not put in correctly when we ordered
yummy😜😜
I have been there a few times. The food is tasty with good portion and reasonable price. Service is really good. The lady is nice and willing to help. The only thing is the food maybe a little oily. Otherwise, it’s really good.

Ordered half a hainanese chicken for take out. Incredibly small portion for half a chicken. The chicken was mostly bones and it doesn’t seem like half a chicken was cut, maybe 1/3. Stay away and will never order again.
Lovely flavors and good portion size. Happy repeat customer here. Our go to order is the laksa noodle soup and curry/ pineapple fried rice.
My girlfriend took me here for dinner. The food was delicious. The seafood curry stew was so tasty and the black noodles were very good. I would order this dish again. Even the green tea tastes good. 💗💗
Customer service was outstanding. My girlfriend brought me a birthday cake. The restaurant was kind enough to give us places and forks. I was a little shy but happy that they played the Happy Birthday song to me. Thank you everyone.🌹🌹 keeps up the good work.
I would definitely come back.
Looking for authentic Malay food? Well this Newark restaurant is the answer to your prayers. The owner is Malaysian and very friendly. The menu and decoration are basically the same as the Malay restaurant I went to before. One sip of their Bak Kut Teh will take you right back Southeast Asia. Highly recommend😘
Food was delicious and served relatively quickly. The best part of the experience was talking with the boss. I was thoroughly impressed with his knowledge of 6 languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, Taiwanese, and more.
