Was my favorite malaysian place to eat. Their prices have inflated a little now. Food still very good though

The owner's great but one of the server (she just being unfriendly) I definitely is coming back if only she is as friendly as the owner (" I bad fruit can impact the whole tree.")

We went there for lunch. They have attractive lunch special. We ordered from the regular menu. The order was a regular order of malaysian roti paratha. Normally it comes with a gravy for paratha dip-in, This gravy was more like a light soup that would not adhere to the paratha. I mentioned it to the server who promptly brushed me off by saying "well that is the way it is supposed to be". I did not appreciate that because I have had it at other places. We also ordered curry fried rice with beef. It was tasty. but beef was scanty. The quantity was adequate for one person. Sharing would be tight. Also order the chicken noodle soup (N5 item on the menu). It actually was delicious. The quantity was more than adequate.Like every other restaurant these days everything is pricey. Two dishes and the roti paratha appetizer came to 60 bucks. No drinks.Parking: It can get busy.

Very smoky and hot noodles, good sauce and bite. Especially chow kuey teow. Seafood curry was luscious and sweet with a lot of shrimp.Tea salad solid, fair price.Roti too thick dont recommend, chicken of the noodles was a little old but well cooked.

Cockroach walked right under our table, so we didn't even chance trying the food. Unfortunately, I'm really disappointed, wanted to try it, but glad we saw the roach before we ate here and potentially got sick. Please take care of this issue. I know restaurants are susceptible to getting roaches, but to see a German roach during the day, there's an infestation somewhere. The waitress seemed really nice though.

I guess i went in with very high expectations... And it turned out to be just so-so.Mix of Malaysian, Burmese, Thai and Chinese dishes on the menu. We picked mostly Malaysian dishes because that's what we came here for.The tea leaf salad (not pictured) is made with whole fermented tea leaves rather than ground up, which is a nice change from most other burmese restaurants in the area. The roti pratha was flat, very oily, and not fluffed up. Curry was ok, on the sweet side.Kangkung belachan was very heavy on the belachan, otherwise pretty good.Chicken murtabak was a nice surprise.Beef rendang was adequate.House chili tilapia was forgettable, the sauce is just a generic sweet and sour chili sauce.3 stars because I probably won't make an effort to come here again.

Our first time experience at this family owned restaurant was amazing. Both food and service were great. We tried the following for dinner and were pleasantly impressed with the food.1. Chicken Murtabak2. Hokkien Mee Shrimp3. Sambal Belachen Fried Rice (chicken)Murtabak and hokkie mee noodles were good options for my 7 yr old daughter who is very particular about taste. Sambal Belachen fried rice has a strong smell of the shrimp paste. As we are a big fan of fish and seafood we really enjoyed the same.Lastly, the staff were very nice and friendly. We will definitely be visiting this place again.

We would go out of our way from San Jose to Fremont, and now Newark to get a few of our favorite dishes from Mingala, like Cha Kuey Teow, Chow Bee Hoon, and Burmese Tea Leaf Salad. However, their food quality seems to have gone downhill ever since they moved. Not sure why, but we gave it at least half a dozen chances. It is too bad, but time to move on.

The food was not delicious. It was a cafeteria type of environment. Expensive but not appetizing food. Will not go back again.,
