I'm a huge fan of pineapple buns. Pineapple King is truly the grand royalty of buns!
I have waited months and months to finally check out Pineapple King. The lines are often so long that I just continue to drive by. Finally, on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm, I had a successful visit. There were only 2 people in line before us and it took only about 5 minutes before our order was ready.
We ordered the Butter Supreme Box, with 4 butter buns, including regular butter, guava butter, salted egg butter, and chocolate marshmallow butter. The chocolate marshmallow is my least favorite, a little too sweet for my taste. The servings of butter are ample and the slices melt just enough in the warm buns, without becoming a runny mess.
We also ordered the Deluxe Box of pineapple puffs, with 4 filled pineapple buns with their original, matcha, and mango custard fillings, along with one regular butter pineapple bun. These were a big hit with the family and we had to cut them into pieces so everyone could share.
Honorable mentions to their egg tart - delicious! And their mango coconut pudding tart - also delicious!
Sooo happy I was finally able to try Pineapple King. Very happy with our selection and will be back soon!

Original bun with butter is the best. I live in Olivehurst so I buy 2 dozen every time. Not all for me! I get the butter on the side. Reheat the bun in toaster oven.

Surprisingly not much wait although the store looks busy. Tasty pineapple bun, many creative flavors, and reasonable price.

Such a good pineapple bun! The ordering process was fast and the pineapple bun with salted egg custard was so flakey and cool and refreshing on a Sunday sweltering heat day in South Bay!
The price was reasonable, about $5 for a single bun, but it was well made and we got it immediately so I didn't mind. You wait under an umbrella so it's a nice cute aesthetic though there isn't really a proper store to go into it's just a storefront.
I've been to the one in SF so it's nice to see another one!

We crave Pineapple King constantly. I mean how can we not when they’re serving this amount of butter?! We brought a box to our family party and everyone loved them.
Our favorite pineapple buns: original butter, guava butter, and bbq pork
They also have croissant egg tarts that our family loves. We visited the fremont location but they also have one in SF too. Definitely a must try!

Grabbed this spot after lunch since it’s in the same plaza. It just a grab and go kind of place, it’s just a counter.
Got the deluxe box that came with butter, matcha, mango, and original. Butter and matcha were fine, but mango and original are the ones to get. Definitely need to grab a bottle of water since the puffs dry out your mouth.
Prices are solid. Parking lot is huge but way too crowded and hard to find parking. I actually love their logo, I would definitely go back and buy some of the merch!

This is a walk up window establishment type of bakery and I believe this location is an extension of their SF store. My personal favorite is the pineapple bun with Kerry's gold butter. I'm so basic haha! I love the texture of their pineapple bun. I've also tried all their butter flavors and if I had to rate them, for me at least, fist place goes to my plain pineapple bun with butter, second place I would have to give to the guava butter and bun combo and in third place would have to go to the chocolate butter bun. I also really really really like their cwasan 🥐 egg tarts. I come back for it allllllll the time. I've scored them fresh off the oven a few times and it totally levels up the egg tart game with that croissant crust. The crust is so flaky filled with creamy egg custard 🤤 They also can get very busy and wait time may require some patience so plan accordingly and come early.

I have tried from this store before through someone and heard about it before but never went until today. It was quick and easy, it’s an outdoor waiting. They both include self-ordering kiosk and cashier. Once ordered, they have it within 1-3 minutes, it’s really fast service and they confirm your order as well. I also think that it was fast service because I went around when there were less people waiting. They serve your classic HK pineapple buns with several unique favors, even egg tarts as well! Their hk milk tea is actually great as well! Not to watery or bland like some other hk milk tea I have tried. Pineapple buns were not too sweet but just a little bit of sweet compared to other pineapple buns I had before. If you like to try new flavors of pineapple buns, come here!

I love pineapple buns and grew up eating them regularly. Pineapple King is pricier than many other bakeries that serve pineapple buns, but from my experience these are always good to amazing in quality.
I recommend the puffs/one bun starting out. My favorites are the buns with salted egg or custard filling. They also have a merch selection with items like hats and shirts. Every time I've visited there was a line for the kiosk, but it goes by quickly. Pickup is also fast since many buns are fresh and ready. Wish the crowd management was better though since everyone stands around the front and blocks pickup. The plaza lot often gets busy but I haven't really had an issue with finding parking.

One of the best spots for pineapple buns in Fremont! There's a wide variety of filling options to choose from and they're all quite good. They're fresh and have just the right texture with the inside being nice and soft with the outside being nice and crispy, with the perfect filling to shell ratio. My personal favourites are the taro and custard pineapple buns. Service is friendly and fast as well despite the often long line outside. Definitely worth checking out.
The buns are so good.

Delicious HK-style pineapple buns. Warm, slightly crispy on the top, soft on the inside and that thick slice of butter just slaps. The version with the upgraded gold butter is definitely better than the regular one. Salted egg yolk bun was really good too.
If you’re in the area and want a snack, this is the spot. There’s usually a line, but it moves fast. I wish they opened earlier at this location.
The buns are soft and the top is crumblely and the filling is smooth and decadent.
