My experience at Tai Pan BBQ Express Dim Sum was nothing short of a complete and utter disappointment. The rudeness and arrogance displayed by the customer service staff were absolutely unacceptable, tarnishing what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. From the moment I entered the establishment, I was met with condescending glares and dismissive attitudes from the staff. It was evident that they had little regard for providing courteous and attentive service to their customers. My simple inquiries were met with eye-rolls and sighs, making me feel like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. The lack of professionalism extended to the quality of the food and service itself. The dim sum I ordered was overcooked and cold, showing a blatant disregard for culinary standards. When I brought up my concerns to the staff, they were defensive and refused to acknowledge any fault, further cementing their arrogance and lack of accountability.Furthermore, the cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. The tables were sticky, and the floors were littered with food scraps, giving the impression of a poorly maintained and unhygienic establishment. What truly appalled me was the complete lack of respect shown to other patrons as well. I witnessed the staff arguing with customers and making snide remarks, displaying a complete disregard for basic customer service etiquette. In conclusion, Tai Pan BBQ Express Dim Sum falls short in every aspect, from its rude and arrogant customer service to its mediocre food and unclean environment. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment, as it fails to deliver on even the most basic standards of dining experience. There are plenty of other dim sum restaurants in the area that provide not only better food but also a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for their customers. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration by choosing a different dining option.

This is a mixed review. Some of their Chinese BBQ is great but other foods not so much. Most of their hot dishes are precooked sitting on a steam table rather than being prepared to order which degrades the quality, particularly fried items such as orange chicken. The steam buns I purchased were a big disappointment as while large in size and priced accordingly, most of the buns were steamed risen dough with around a large teaspoon of filling. Cutting off the dough to around a ¼ inch around the filling cut the size of the bun in half and I was left with a pile of dough equal to a slice of bread. The filling, vegetable and pork, was poorly seasoned. As such I cannot recommend their buns and find frozen ones or the ones at a Chinese BBQ site in the Lyon shopping center in Newark much better. I did like the Chinese BBQ pork and they do have roasted duck and pot stickers that looked ok. Given that they have been in existence and at the same site for many years they must be doing some things right.

Disclaimer: I've never been here in person but I've ordered food from Tai Pan for delivery and it's the best and most affordable authentic Chinese food place I've personally come across. Highly recommend

Today is my 2nd time visiting there for dim sum for lunch. The price was fair and the taste was above average. People there was friendly. I also ordered roasted pork to pick up next week.

Hands down the best Cantonese style BBQ I have been to in the Bay area. We usually come here to get their famous roasted duck, but this time we ordered a medium whole pig for our new year dinner. The pig was cooked perfectly with a crispy skin and tender meat inside. This pig can easily feed 20 or more people and we had great compliments from our guests. The pig was $320+tax and you have to order ahead of time instore, but it was worth every penny of it. I highly recommend this place!

Food was disgusting, barely cooked. The old lady at the front desk was rude and racist to black customers. Do not recommend this place at all.

Love love love their salted fish chicken fried rice with cabbage! The fish was not fishy at all and it was cut really small size unlike other places where they cut it big and the distribution of the saltiness was uneven. The chicken was also cut small so they don't cut corners by cutting it small which we love. Seasoning was pretty good and just right. Pricing with tax and everything comes out to 18 bucks which is pretty steep but since it's good I don't mind.
