Incredible restaurant! I spent time a couple months in Bangladesh a few years ago, and I was so excited to go to Bongos when I was in Fremont. The food is SO good. The flavors made me feel like I was back in Bangladesh. We had the hilsa fish, veggies, and mutton biryani. The biryani had a lot of meat in it and very good cuts. This might well be the San Francisco Bay Area’s best kept secret. This maybe the only authentic Bengali restaurant in the area. The food is delicious and very moderately priced. It’s a hole in wall kinda place but who cares. I just came for the food and I left as a very full happy camper. Must try for the Assamese and Bengali food lover. This is a great place for Bengali Food. The taste in a word is great! Just like back home. We had the Shorshe Elish/Eggplant/Mutton. All were great tasting and very satisfying. In fact, had more food than intended because it was so delicious!
