This restaurant has amazing food! The home made deep fried mushrooms are fabulous! The burgers have amazing flavor as well. Sandy was a great server and so kind! My husband and I did some hiking around Whiskeytown Lake and ate at the French Gulch Saloon for lunch! This may be a regular spot for us from now on. We can't wait to go back for the prime rib dinner!
We went as a party of six with reservations as required & Prime Rib order placed in advance. Delicious & perfectly cooked Prime Rib! Very substantial portions. Rib Eye was huge! Sides were great, drinks & dessert were fabulous & waitress was very friendly & attentive. . Chef was very friendly also, came out to say hello & let us know what new additions were added to menu. We went here for a work dinner, group of 10. All of us loved the appetizers, salads w/homemade salad dressing, all got steaks and loaded mashed potatoes plus chocolate cake for dessert! Stand outs were deep fried mushrooms, the ribeye and cake. The steak had an excellent char, huge portion! Could have shared but some of us took leftovers. Looking forward to going back again! All the staff was wonderful, owners checked in and Barbara our waitress was fabulous!
