I'm gonna be honest, I entered this restaurant in full "haterade" mode. The outside is gray with a small vinyl business sign that says BJ's Kountry Kitchen. The inside design is something that my grandmas', grandmother would have in her kitchen, but I'm not eating the decor so let's move on. The portions are pretty big here and the food is actually really good for a greasy spoon diner. I ordered the chicken fried steak with a side of biscuits and gravy. (give me all the gravy!) My piece of chicken fried steak was huge and the gravy that topped it was delicious. It was greasy, salty and just what a growing boy needs to start his day. The eggs were mid, as the kids say, and so was my fruit cup. My wife got the tri-tip and eggs and she was a little disappointed at her four pieces of tri-tip instead of one large single sliced chunk. I did try her tri-tip and it was very tasty. All-in-all the food was actually really good and reasonably priced. With our two coffees, breakfast orders, and an extra side of biscuits and gravy it was about $50 with tip. Sadly, that's a reasonably priced meal for two these days. This place was busy when we got here and it was a Friday at 8:30am! The service was amazing and after I shook off my initial snobby attitude, I found this place to be a cozy surprise. Maybe next time we'll bring the kiddos and let them enjoy some old school dining.

Probably best breakfast in Fresno. Good price, kitchen is fast, & food is consistently good. Good old fashion dinner breakfast

Service: Staff is attentive and friendly. Food: Mostly flavorless. Omelette was a mess with (somehow) too much cheese. Biscuits and gravy taste industrial. Toast came out looking like it was toasted long before any butter was put onto it, resulting in a mass of unmelted butter. Ambiance: I'd go across the street if I wanted to see a bunch of religious stuff. Reading some other reviews it sounds like they're under new ownership. Maybe they should spend more money on ingredients and training their kitchen staff.

Weekends at BJs are fantastic! We love getting their country fried steak and eggs. I will say their weekday service is pretty different and the food quality seems to drop off. We went on a Friday and got Sourdough melts that were very greasy. They also charged 5 dollars to add a single egg to a melt! The staff also seemed to be rather unorganized despite it not being very busy.

We were unaware that it changed hands. The quality of food was poor. Simple hamburger, cold patty, dry bun. I was so looking forward to a Simple Good hamburger. Sad... Not sure, if we will be back.

VERY RUDE. I have never felt so insulted in my life... 730 am Feb 27th.. the waitress was the rudest person. I would never come back. The lady with the short red hair. I've never had anyone be that rude... but on that note. We tried Huckleberry. Oh my. Huckleberry is great service and food.... I will never step foot in this BJs.. EVER

I enjoy having breakfast worth the senior crowd ?. But it's the woman(waitresses)and the gentlemen (busboys) they are the ones! Why people come back. The atmosphere is so alive. Most every Sunday.

Great service and the best country fried steak I have had in a while. I travel for work and most places are not making food like this!
