It had been a couple of months since my prior visit. The lahmajouns were good then, but now have improved! A touch thinner, yet more flavorful with a touch of spice. 😋
I like the spinach boreg, which has lots of spinach and a bit of tanginess. The quite sizeable meat boreg with cabbage and onion is a home run! I will pick some more up on my late afternoon/early evening way home. The pistachio flakey pastry covered with powder sugar was delicious too!

Bread Basket Bakery is one of the best bakery’s in Fresno! All the authentic food is so delicious leaves the flavor in my mouth all day. The prices are perfect, responsible prices. The Bread Basket has become a favorite, but since Michael and Sarah took over, it’s truly next level. Their lahmajoon is hands down the best I’ve been introduced to. It’s crispy, fresh, and full of flavor.
What really sets this place apart is how Michael and Sarah treat everyone like family. They’ve brought new life into the bakery while keeping its roots strong. You walk in for the food but keep coming back for the love and care they put into everything.
So thankful for what they’re doing. This place is a gem! Once a week to stack up is a vibe!
