Very mixed feelings on this one. I have been to cracked pepper a number of times and it seems like the service and quality of food is slowly declining.
My first experience blew me away, extremely attentive server/waiter, amazing food and dining experience all together.
The second and third time we noticed that service had drastically changed, food was still good, but our servers were less attentive and less descriptive about their menu.
This past visit Valentine’s Day 2026 we came in with our entire family, their menu is not really geared towards children. But our girls enjoyed the chicken piccata and salmon. I was surprised to not see a special given the holiday. We arrived at 315 due to limited time slots available. We did not get our food until 445! I was very surprised, we did have a salad to hold us over but no bread, we had to ask for that about an hour after ordering. The proteins were a little over cooked, my steak was a bit charred/burnt, it was till medium but burnt flavor really came through. Mashed potatoes were good, the lemon chicken and pasta was probably the best dish at the table. The place isn’t bad by any means, just hard to justify a $350 dinner when things are burnt and rather extreme waits.

Our server seemed to be new, so not saying anything about her, she was nice but not very attentive or talkative with the table, the guys filling water and cleaning tables were on it, very polite good job there.
Also inside seating was off the low lighting was nice but the windows open let in a big glare, I feel if your going to stage the inside for a dark intimate meal, you shouldn’t have the windows allowing allowing that sun light in.
Will give them one more attempt later in the year to see if anything improves.

We had a party of 9 so they put us in the back room which was really nice. I ordered the salmon with honey glaze with rice pilaf and veggies. My food was well seasoned and delicious. We got the crab cakes and shrimp with rice for appetizers and they were delicious. My sisters were a little sad that they didn't have any bbq or steak sauce for their steaks but other then that everything was great. Wonderful customer experience. Everyone greeted us when we entered and thanked when we left. Our server Sarah was wonderful!

We had Kayla as our server for my mom’s 50th birthday and she was absolutely amazing! She was so kind, friendly, and did everything to make my mom’s dinner special. She even remembered my parents from the last time they were there. Everything was amazing, the food, drink and especially the service. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

I’m a regular here and love the variety (steak, seafood, new specials) and consistency of execution. They do such a great job, the servers are so personable and they seem to make everything in house- even the bread and the balsamic vinegar.
Over the years I have had everything on the menu but my favorites are the mala insana, the birria, the lamb chops and the salmon. I don’t feel like Fresno/Clovis have that many fine dining options, Cracked Pepper is a staple for my wife and I and our friends.
