Doll's Kitchen saved the day by making a custom cake for a birthday celebration. We also ordered meals for the family. Everything was packaged and ready at our arranged pickup time. The owner was friendly and very knowledgeable about cakes. The fish we ordered was crispy and golden brown. She even accommodated our no spicy seasoning request. I highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

First thing you notice, the smell! Smells like armpits and sewer..idk if it's because they sell fish.. but I had to wait outside..couldn't stand it...even with the door wide open...long wait too.
Older lady at the counter needs customer service skills or be replaced with someone who can talk... and no attitude.
Clean up the place please.
$18 for 3 small sides...and I couldn't eat them...gave them away..idk if it's because I'm not used to this type of food🤷‍♀️
The only good thing was the corn bread...I think it is my favorite corn bread I've ever tasted!
I'll just be back for bread and that's it🙃

Ordered one catfish plate and one chicken plate. Paid my money. Waited 45 mins just for them to tell me they ran out of chicken. The food is good but the service and wait time is horrible. I sadly will not be returning.

Despite reviews, I wanted to try Dolls Kitchen. There aren't many soul food restaurants in Fresno and I had an itch. I arrived at Dolls Kitchen around 4-5pm and they were only serving fish; the owner made us aware of that before we ordered. We still wanted it so we ordered the fish combo, paid, then waited. We got yams as a side, but the owner told us after several minutes that they were out. No problem! That just means they had a successful day.
Changed it to potato salad, got our food and ate! Their potato salad is a sweet relish potato salad (not our cup of tea). The fish was very creamy and delicious. Admittedly the best we have had and the mac 'n cheese was good! But a common theme in them was salt. Both mac and fish were extremely salty. I ate some colard greens to help with the salt. Then I was hit with sweet. I've never had sweet colard greens and its definitely a preference, but not mine.
It was a miss for us, but I do not dislike this place! Just different taste buds. If you read my review on the food and proceed to go with all these in mind, you'll enjoy their food!

This store is an absolute joke and the lady at the counter is the rudest person I've ever dealt with. I had to wait over an HOUR for a simple order, and instead of doing her job, she actually CANCELLED one of the items herself even though it was clearly available in the store. Who does that? She had a nasty attitude from the moment I walked in, completely disrespectful, dismissive, and acted like she couldn't care less. Totally unprofessional and straight-up rude. If this is how they treat people, no one should waste their time or money here.
The lady at the counter should not even be working in customer service. O stars.

I've been a few times. It's always clean. The fish is really good and cooked to order. The praline cake is delicious. Cornbread is good. Fries are good. The greens are very sweet. I don't like the sugar in the greens. I won't say they aren't good because they were cooked well but sugar greens aren't for me. The mac and cheese wasn't great. The potato salad not good at all. Whenever I'm there, 70% of the time I hear them tell another patron that something is out of stock. The wait times have been 25-35 minutes average. So if I go back I'll just get fish and dessert.

Every time that I have been here, the service has been good. The food is excellent, crispy. A little spicy fish, excellent cornbread, amazing, and if you haven't tried their german chocolate cake, you're really missing out

Truly some of the best food I have had! I highly recommend trying them out, absolutely delicious! The catfish was amazingly seasoned, and the yams were dangerously good!
