Took my mom and tia for breakfast to try their menudo (only served on Sundays). I ordered the grande bowl with hominy and a pata(they have to added), my mom and tia both got regular bowls. None of us were able to finish our menudo. It was delicious and was packed with tripe. The corn tortillas were made by the restaurant and were thick and fluffy. That place doesn't mess around with their menudo. The price was good and food was better. Highly recommend getting it. And the service was fast, friendly, and polite. My only suggestion is to watch out for the onions. They were really strong and I had to pick a lot of them out after I added them. But everything hit the spot.

11/2/2024 6:55pm Walked in and there was no line. There was a sign that said to wait to be seated. No one even came to greet us. No one was even there in the entrance. Waited and the waitresses just looked at us for a few minutes but not even 1 came to let us know a wait time or anything so we just walked away and went somewhere else to eat.

I'm writing this review in hopes it will get to the kitchen staff and change may happen. I've been here about 5 times. Everytime I am hoping the last time was a fluke and there would be more flavor. I say that because the food is usually cooked very nicely but my question is, where is the seasoning? My Carne Asada steak was a great temperature and texture but it lacked any real flavor. I even asked for extra seasoning this last time and it felt more bland than ever. My girl got the floutas and the chicken inside was dry and flavorless. She literally never complains but had some comments about it, so I felt like it had to be said. Please please please add seasoning. The staff is always nice and the atmosphere is always pretty good.

Since 2015 and I can't complain, just specify your order because so many people who order their dishes find it difficult to make their tastes.

It’s already two times that I went over and I have to wait a lot to be seated and that never happens. The waiters are just talking and nobody pays attention to you.

El Michoacano is a restaurant we've frequented for years since their initiation. They basically specialize in mariscos (seafood) Their shrimp cocktail is excellent, second to none. The shrimp ceviche and fish ceviche (marinated raw fish and shrimp) are great also and they serve huge portions, specially for takeout. The ambiance, lighting of the restaurant is somewhat dark in the booth sections of the restaurant but at the same time can serve to be very relaxing. The waitresses are polite and efficient. The atmosphere, low lighting, lends itself for couples looking for an intimate night out or also for an ordinary, everyday family outing.
