Indian Sweet & Spices holds a special place in my heart. It's been a part of my life since childhood, and I've witnessed its growth from a small shop to the large, multifaceted establishment it is today. The core of its appeal lies in the consistently amazing food, especially the chaat dishes. Their lassi and gol gappa are personal favorites, always prepared with care and bursting with authentic flavors. However, customer service is not the store's strong suit. The staff, including the owners, often come across as indifferent, sometimes even rude while taking orders. There have been instances of being overcharged, which becomes apparent only when asking for an itemized receipt – something I'd recommend to everyone visiting.Despite these service issues, the quality of the food keeps me coming back. The store itself is a treasure trove, divided into six distinct sections. From frozen and perishable goods, a dessert bar, and racks filled with spices, teas, and dried goods, to a section dedicated to Indian street food and snacks, there's a lot to explore. Additionally, they offer a range of pots, pans, utensils, Indian costume jewelry, and prayer goods, making it a one-stop-shop for various needs.

Everything is overpriced by at least 3X compared to other Indian stores in the rest of Fresno. Things on the shelves are usually expired. The two guys that are always at the register are the biggest con artists. They are extremely rude but besides that they lie and try to cheat every time. Buyer beware. There are much better options in terms of Indian grocery in Fresno. I recommend Shan e Punjab or New India Sweets and Spice on Shaw&Feland. Much better food, prices, and customer service. Stay away from this place if you don’t want to be cheated and disrespected.

I love love love Indian food I tried this place for the first time and I’m 100% certain they spit in my food they were not friendly with me I just thought it was a cultural thing but when I found the slime in my food I knew I was not welcomed there and that sucks ???‍♀️?

The speaking behavior of the owner and the employee is very wrong, they think the customer is a thief. When you go to the store, you may have to face racism, this store owner is a hater, will talk to you with hatred. I want to give 0*

Among the best Indian shops in Fresno. Fresh made foods and sweets are superb! Great produce, too! My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the service. It isn't hard to notice how they attended well to customers from India while treating a non Indian with sheer indifference.
