“Fine dining does not get any better. This was close to absolute perfection.

We arrived with reservations at their opening, and were promptly seated at my favorite location, a table in the back corner. A young man filled our water glasses without spilling a drop. Our server, Conner, recommended a wonderful Italian-produced Pino Grigio, which was light and fruity with a nice finish. There is not much better than a server who is like a sommelier. The wine list is quite diverse, and certainly adequate in reds, whites, and sparkles.

We got warm, fresh bread, and breadsticks, while we contemplated the menu. The cuisine is strictly meat and pasta, no seafood, but there are many great choices. My wife got the outstanding Minestrone and the Lasagna Parmigian, our niece got the Ravioli de Radiccio, and I got the Escargot, and the Rack of Lamb. Pardon my lack of Italian language here.

The escargot were large, in a tremendous traditional butter and garlic sauce, where the bread came in very handy. The lamb was perfectly cooked to order. I have never seen a lasagna presented like this before. All presentations were meticulous, as I am sure Chef Rafael demands. Dinner was nicely paced. While we were too stuffed to order off the homemade dessert menu, Conner did bring out some complimentary, lemony, wonderful Italian cookies.

We were also greeted at our table by an elegant, gracious lady, Signora Mastro, who reminded me very much of Chef Andrea, former owner of the great New Orleans restaurant the bore his name for over 30 years.

There is something about the Italian people, no matter where we go, that drives them to respect their tradition, and that seems to always make a difference. Signora Mastro is truly a culinary Maestro.“

“Eerything was delish and the pasta seems like it's made fresh inhouse. Good portions for the price as well. Only thing that wasn't optimal is the restroom is a little walk away from the restaurant but that's not their fault. Will be returning with the rest of the family. We dined on the patio and the weather was nice. Spaghetti with meat balls was on point, Lasagna was perfect, the Penne pasta had a bomb sauce on it, Caprese salad delish and the Ceasar Salad was crisp and delicious with some fresh crispy croutons. Yuuuuumy 😋“

There are cooks and there are cooks who understand how to cook food. I went to lunch with my brother . As we walked inside I noticed it was really nice inside there was a beautiful full bar and wine case and I knew that this was going to be a treat. We both were craving a burger , simple right ? Like I said there are cooks and cooks who understand food. Forget about all the chains and smash burger trendy spots around town , if you want a fantastic burger this is the spot ! This is an Italian restaurant so if you are looking for something like pizza , pasta or a maybe a 20 oz bone in ribeye steak if you are really hungry this spot has got you covered. The service is great and welcoming !
I'm a Fresno native and I've been to many places in California, Oregon, Washington and Texas , for the price , service , atmosphere , the quality of the food and passion that goes into the food the Cosmopolitan is my top restaurant over all .
I can't wait to see what the new menu looks like but I want that 20 oz ribeye paired with a bottle of red 🍷 .

“For authentic Italian food, I choose one of the DiCicco‘s family restaurants. DiCiccio’s has been around Fresno for as long as I can remember. I went to school with three of the kids of the DiCiccio’s family. DiCiccio’s restaurants treat you like family when you come in. They greet you, and seat you, and are very cordial. The food is excellent. Authentic Italian.
Their pizza and salad lunch special is under $10 and is well worth it! For a small individual size pizza, it is rather large and I have to bring half of it home!“

Sat out on their enclosed patio with heaters…very comfortable, table was arranged perfectly for visiting and seeing each other during our meal. Everyone could chat, we had several delicious appetizers, cocktails and wonderful entrees and then desserts. “Hands down one of our go to when it comes to Italian food! I actually got to meet the owner Andrew when I worked at a convenience store nearby, and honestly just a great guy! Super friendly and outgoing, it reflects onto the food and atmosphere! Never a had bad experience with any workers either, always friendly and welcoming. The food itself always satisfies, always freshly made and given HOT! Always still just as hot and fresh once we get home, which is a little thing but something you don’t always get!
