This dinner or lunch was a reception for a funeral not the most pleasant occasion of course but reminiscing about someone you love can be very beneficial in the grieving process sitting around and talking about the one who has passed over a good meal can be immensely healing the food was excellent the servers were compassionate the crowd was tremendous way more people showed up than they expected. The staff handled it accordingly when things went sideways. The number of people at an event is either more or fewer than planned, and how the staff adapts shows their adaptability and service orientation. For dinner, I am unsure. Still, our bartender Who provided my soda and drinks for the people that were there that were drinking was an excellent entertainment bartender very engaged made sure that the things that we were snacking on did not run out and that we got our chance to get our meal as well because of the Overflow we set at the bar every table was full inside and out it was a touching moment to say goodbye to a friend and a family member for many Ken will be remembered for a long time. The reception was excellent. The food Choice was chile verde, rice, and beans - very traditional Latino, very Fresno, very classy, and very well done. I will be back simply because the Chile Verde was excellent, the service was good, and the atmosphere was way above average for Fresno.

Excellent service and the best Chile Relleno I've had in a long time. Nice patio and great location in a great part of town. Good for families and wait times aren't long when I've been there.

I strongly suggest checking out this place. We couldn't get enough chips and salsa. That salsa!!
Our margaritas were spot on. The ribeye fajita. Man, forget about it.
I'm glad we finally tried after all this time.

The best shrimp diablo I have ever had. I've had shrimp diablo hot, extreme, and sweet. This one was buttery, smokey with other flavors coming through. Not too hot to fry your taste buds but there was heat. Not oily. The rice and beans were also fantastic. My wife usually leaves much of the rice and beans at other restaurants, not here. All of our meals showed a true chef in the kitchen.

If i can give 0 stars i would worst experience at this place very bad service, food was terrible i ordered chicken breast and was not fully cooked my wifes food was cold and my kids burgers where a little raw and cold from the middle, we never received a drink menu either so water it was, my daughter asked for lemonade which she got my son asked for a dr. pepper and they brought him a root. Beer i called the waitress and told her we asked for a dr pepper and she says oh yea we ran out of dr pepper like wth, why didnt you come and tell us instead of bringing him something as if he doesn’t know what he ordered smh i wasted $75 on garbage food and i had to leave all plates full of food

Doesn't give a homey feeling as I feel Mexican restaurants should, just my opinion. Food was tasty, portion size small compared to other Mexican restaurants, and price was higher likely because of location.

Parking: The food I'd recommend is not listed above, which would be the Chile verde plate.

They first need to add additional $$ more like $$$ to alert customers of prices. This was my second time for dining. I took family of 7 women for a birthday cocktail after we had brunch nearby. We were serviced by a head waitress who recommended sitting at two tables instead of the bar. We ordered our cocktails. After having two rounds of margaritas we noticed we had never received chips and salsa. We asked why everyone else had chips and salsa and were told you only get them after you place an order. She went on to say they were having to throw away chips to often so only if you order food. I thought that was bad service. Never have I been to a Mexican restaurant and not been served chips and salsa. They should have asked if we would be ordering or only drinks she should have asked if for a fee would we like chips and salsa. We all felt treated differently. We ended up ordering two nacho plates now did we get chips and salsa then? No we did not oh wait I paid for them in my nachos which one order arrived really late and cold when it did it seemed it sat on counter while she ran around to other tables never coming and checking if we wanted another order from the bar or refills on water. Instead she came and asked us would we like our check now! Not the standard is there anything else you would like. Very rude for business. When the bill came it was 303.25!! For two nacho plates very scarce made for one person there was 7 of us. 4 blended margaritas and seven on the rocks in small glasses and 1 beer. That was a total disappointment. The Bathroom soap dispensers were not working and on the counter was a dirty container of foam hand soap that went in the machine but you had to grab it with two hands and squeeze out the foam soap, unsanitary. Aside from the high prices and the dismissive waitress my party was sad to know this business didn’t care to share the same welcome to its own Hispanic heritage so they lost many opportunities to host us ever again. For $300 you can have a feast at Castillos in Clovis Toledos in Fresno El Patio in Tower District or for real authentic La Playita on Kings Canyon and Chestnut.

Not sure how they stay in business at this point. The food had no flavor, none. How exactly does one cook food with no flavor??? These folks know how to do it.
As if that’s not enough, the first thing they say to you is to ask if you would like some guacamole. They do this before you can even look at the menu so that you don’t have a chance to notice that guacamole is $16!!! Think about it… tasteless guacamole for $16.
