Great First Experience at Mad Duck

Stopped in for the first time on a Thursday evening and had a great experience. The menu was smaller than expected, but the quality made up for it. We started with the calamari appetizer—crispy, well-seasoned, and paired with flavorful dipping sauces. Easily one of the highlights of the meal.

I ordered the steak salad and was genuinely impressed. The dressing had a nice tang, the greens were fresh, and the bold flavor of the blue cheese complemented the tender steak beautifully. The other entrée at our table was the Goat Cheese & Bacon Burger, which got high praise for its rich and savory flavor profile.

The Citra beer was easy-drinking and smooth, with a clean flavor that paired well with the food. Refreshing without being too heavy.

Service was excellent—our server, Jesse, was intuitive to our needs and stayed attentive throughout the evening without hovering.

All in all, solid food, great drinks, and welcoming service. I’d definitely go back.

It is a hip place. Very loud in there from all the talking. Still a cool place though. Full bar with drink specials according to the 'holiday' for that month. Good food, decent service. Not too expensive.

Service was average, food was good, but I was disappointed to find a hidden fee added to the bill. Moral business are upfront about pricing and don't resort to shyster tactics.

Average food. Didn’t love their beers. Crowded. Very small screens for a sports bar.
