Maw n paw just showed up at work for and employee lunch. To start the smell of the food just draws you to the table. Brisket, tri tip, and chicken all moist and delicious. The side potatoe salad and pilaf are delicious. Make time and go get some, the food is outstanding.

Chicken was overcooked, dry and tough to chew. The pulled pork and beef brisket was good. Moist and tender. Potato salad was good. Beans especially good. They use 3 different kinds of beans and contains pieces of meat and spices. Fast service and reasonably priced.
BBQ sauce review: Smokey sauce was good. Hottie sauce was good but not hot. Sweetie sauce was good. Nuclear sauce taste was strange and it was barely hot.

Having spent a considerable amount of time in the South, I have to say that the barbecue I tried was decent, though perhaps not exceptional compared to others I’ve experienced. On a positive note, the customer service was good, the atmosphere was inviting, and the restaurant maintained a clean environment. Overall, some strong points could be built upon.

The restaurant was a bit older, but the service was excellent. I can understand why this is a popular barbecue destination. The food and homemade sauces were quite good.

Ordered food online....when I went to pick up the order they weren't even aware there was an order until they figured out it was ordered online and already paid for....then they walked me over to a shelf near the entrance where my order had been sitting. Then I was informed that ther order contained no BBQ sauce and that I would need to get it myself. There were various bottles containing different types od BBQ sauce...since this was my first time there I asked what they suggested. Then they told me I needed to use the tiny thimble size containers to squirt the sauce into....the food was mediocre, cold and the service was about the same. I wasn't comfortable with my order being left so close to the door and already paid for that anyone could have grabbed it an no one would have bothered to ask if the order belonged to them. Never going back there again!

The guys are friendly, the prices are pretty reasonable, and the BBQ is damn good. The pulled pork and brisket are excellent, especially in a burrito. Try mixing a sauce cup 50/50 smokey and nuclear, it's delicious.

Bought a whole rack of ribs to myself, juicy, tender, smoky, very proportionate as well. Worth the price! I would definitely come back once or twice a month if I'm craving it again.

Let me start by saying that our family is originally from Santa Maria and there SM BBQ is a huge deal (if you’ve never had you’re missing out) it’s NEVER thinly sliced but cut thick and with the char intact. Why oh why do valley BBQ locations chose to thinly slice their tri tip and brisket is beyond me. The Tri tip and brisket here is not great. Let’s be honest! Their rice pilof is the best in the valley (almost perfection every time and I say this because they will sell it burned- has already happened twice to me). The slaw is decent, the beans are good and the potatoe salad is meh. They even slice their chicken breast which is a negative for me. The best meat to get here are the ribs by far. This is coming from a BBQ addict (seriously) I know my tri tip. Prices are decent. Sauces are yummy not too runny but not thick like some others. Overall a good place for an ocasional meal.
