Having lived in TX for over 20yrs, I couldn’t wait to try this place. I went in during the week, the line wasn’t bad at all. The restaurant is clean and pretty decent granted that it’s in a rough part of town.
I ordered tri tip, ribs and brisket meats by the pound. The ribs and brisket were pretty good, just wish they had an option for ribs without bbq sauce on them. The tri tip was over salted, tasted like it had been put in brine solution which gives it processed meats taste. The smoke flavor on all the meats is very well balanced. Overall, great restaurant if you are a bbq fan, I just think their prices are a bjt too much. I think they should also throw in some sides if you have a bulk order.
Definitely have room to improve to make it the best bbq in Central Valley!
We had our food delivered for our birthday lunch today, the food was delicious!!! Everyone loved the food, we will definitely order again. Thank you very much for delivering our order!! No pictures to upload since we ate everything before we even thought about taking pictures. :)
This place is so delicious if you are craving that home smoked BBQ- the portions are HUGE! It did take a while to get but they are so busy it should be expected. This is a Gem in the middle of Fresno. Must try!
Very expensive for BBQ. Then again I'm a Texan, and it doesn't compare to home. The staff and owner are super nice.
Luckily, got there just before they ran out. After eating our food we decided to take some food for the grandkids. They were out! Anthony was nice enough to get some plates together with what was left, and gave us a discount. Grandkids hash no complaints, they were very happy with what they got!
Being Mega Texas, the brisket lives up to the name. The perfect midsection of the brisket with some lean and flat is my favorite. The golden fat melted as it touched my tongue and the flat was super moist. It’s that perfect texture that I always took forward to with every brisket. The ribs were sweet and had the perfect bite. Not too tender not to tough. The perfect baby bear bite. As much as I like glazed pork belly, I would 100% rather have it unsauced. It lets me enjoy the taste of pig in nice bite sized pops.
If you do come here, GET THE LOLLIPOP CHICKEN. The way that it is frenched removed the tendons unlike other lollipop chickens I’ve had. The way that the bacon is wrapped is perfect. I took a bite, and the bacon stayed stuck to the chicken.
If I went to the doctor and had to get a shot, this is the lollipop I would want.
On the note about the bacon wrap, the same perfect wrapping was done on the Texas Twinkie. This might just be me, but I think I got the perfect jalapeño. Not too spicy with the perfect amount of kick. These bacon wraps are perfect.
Both the sides!!! In case you cant tell in the picture, the topping on the Mac and cheese is chicharrones. The extra flavor and texture that adds to the mixture is divine. The more I eat the more I enjoy the contrast in textures and this is a prime example of that. I needed rice and the pilaf was the right choice. After all these rich meats it brought me back home. It literally tasted like home. Like the staple of every meal for a warm home cooked meal warming both the body and heart.
The strawberry shortcake parfait was mixed with a custard with whipped cream folded in that kept it light but creamy. I wasnt able to touch the parfait for a couple min because I was occupied with the meats, but there was none of the liquid that you find being pulled out of the strawberry. The tres leches corn bread at the end solves the issue of a tres leches cake that is too moist. The corn bread holds the shape and because of the masa creates another interesting texture versus the mush that is a normal tres leches cake.
If you are in the Central Valley, stop by and get some great barbecue.

Simply amazing! From the moment I walked in, the service was exceptional. The staff greeted us with smiles and were incredibly attentive. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the smoky flavor was perfect. The ambiance was laid-back, with rustic décor that created a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Foods the real deal, take awhile to get your food.
Not the best location, there is free parking lot but it does get pack quick so u might have to park on the street, bbq is good, worth the experience and u won't be disappointed, highly rec the brisket and ribs
Great BBQ joint for smoked meats and good sides. Highly recommend. I had the ribs and burnt ends. They were great and my friend loved the pulled pork sandwich.
This BBQ spot was one of the best that I’ve tried and that’s saying a lot since my brother manages another BBQ spot in the Central Valley. From the second my husband and I walked in they welcomed us and made recommendations. We sat outside, the person on the pit was asking every guest if they could be helped with anything else. I started talking with the person on the pit and he stated he also sources his food local to give back to the community. Overall such a great experience and we will definitely come back :)
Best BBQ in all of Central Valley for sure. Everything tastes perfect from the meat to the sides to the dessert... you will not be disappointed. I get this bbq once a week.
