The food was delicious very good portions were served but the staff was very unfriendly poor customer service and it took almost an hour for our 2 plates to be served and the prices were a little high other than that it’s good eating but I wouldn’t go back

The mac & cheese was really really thick. Delicious but thick, and the cornbread was absolutely not what I expected from cornbread. I would definitely skip that but the potato salad phenomenal delicious.& The banana pudding was really old and she still sold it to me, I would have understood if she said no but she didn’t. for $21 not worth it.

I was the first person yesterday. The food was tasty. I loved all the pictures on the walls. For a small place. The food was great. Peach cobbler was a favorite. I will be back.

I wished I would have looked at the reviews on this place before I spent almost $25 for a 2 meat plate.I ordered ribs & tri-tip with double potato salad. I was told it be ready in 25 mins. The ribs were dry and hard as all get up and the tri-tip just didn't taste right. The worse thing is the ribs were smothered in bbq sauce that covered up the burnt ends or something. Nothing on my plate was hot or warm for cooking for 25 mins one would think it would be.The potato salad tasted like it came from the grocery store tub kind. Ok. And whatever that yellow round thing was tasted gross never had cornbread taste that bad. Totally not going there again. The bathroom wasn't that clean and they were out of t.p. so they put a bag of table napkins in place of . . t.p . Lobby area was clean not that many people in there. Totally disappointed in the food......

Let me start off by saying… wow. The food here was PHENOMENAL. It’s typically hard for soul food lacked to get everything good, but I ordered 3 plates in total with a mix of sides for my family and I almost kept everything for myself. My friend Chicken was HOT and crispy; my greens had a deep seasoning that made them so savory. My trip tip was TENDER, you hear me? ?. And that basa wasn’t nothing to play with.The chicken plate ALONE is enough to feed 2-3 people. I’m not joking. There were like 7 pieces in the thing. Most of the other soul food places in the city fell off, and I had no idea this place even existed. I WILL be back!

What a special place. Family run by a great family and the food is really good. Tried a little of everything, ribs, chicken, tri-tip and hot links and they were all excellent. Amazing barbecue sauce. If you like mac and cheese, this is your place! Very cheesy without being to creamy, perfect. Also had their greens which I will always order when I go back.Great southern style bbq right here in Fresno.

Had their Dinner plate combo, and I have to say their ribs were fall off the bone! plus their Greens and Yams were so good. I usually don't eat soul food outside of my family, but my wife suggested it, so went and I'm glad we did! will definitely comeback!

Stopped by to pick up two fish plates and it was as delicious. Food was hot, well seasoned, and fried to perfection. When it comes to the potato salad it’s a matter of preference (what you grew up on) they use sweet relish my family uses regular dill. Either way still good. We will be returning to try the bbq. I wouldn’t listen to the negative reviews, try it for yourself.
