Mr. Papaya Kitchen

I miss the food from the old owners. With these new owners, some of the food are not up to par anymore. Pho, thai boat, and fawm kauv. It's all a hit or miss. Example, I love the old mr. Papaya fawm kauv and sauce was delicious, always. Unfortunately, bought some yesterday and fawm kauv sauce was terrible - so watered down with no flavor!! Don't know who tests these, but for sure, it sucked and I feel like i wasted my money. Hope they start figuring things out...

Went there last year on feb 14 2024. Wait for 45 minutes almost 1 hour. Poor service. Small food quality. Expensive price. Never went there again and only accept cash. 👎

A waitress didn't give me the menu and decided to give another customer a old man who was just rude to interpret us. The waitress didn't come back for at least 45 min. I was about to leave to in 1 hour with no food arrived. Within 1 hour food arrive with small quantities and charge me quite high. Never going back there and telling my friends and family they are super rude and having poor services.

I remember eating here when I was a kid and the food still tastes delicious. I got the Thai boat noodles and it had the right amount of spice and the broth was so flavorful. My favorite place to get Thai boat noodles now.

I ordered the Pho which came with beef flank, meatballs, and brisket.

It was a very delicious pho which had Lao and Thai flavor that was a little touch different than the Vietnamese pho.

I also enjoyed their locally grown fresh sugarcane juice. Nam Oui

Be careful when you order the sugarcane juice from here. There were grains of sand on the bottom of our two drinks. They did not the wash the stalks before putting it in the pressing machine.

Simple food, I had green curry with shrimp over rice. The curry had a nice kick, lots of veggies very tasty.

Loved how the raw larb tastes; and it has been consistent so far. Kapoon has its own unique taste. Wife says the cooked beef larb is also good (never as good raw though! Lol) Pork belly is as good as always as well but wished the person who cut it would had made better even slices. Chowmein for me was average, but the coconut and honey dew boba were great too! Can't wait to be back for the 'once' Fresno's best Thai Boat now, since the change in ownership.

I only ordered one thing the Pork Belly it was the BEST! tender & crispy & flavorful, & fresh came with sauce side and I got to pick my own piece they chopped it up for me - feeds 2-4 people

Man I really wanted to give 5star for this restaurant, unfortunately I cannot since the old owners sold it the pho YUCK 🤦, and the raw laab 👎 it was not good as the meat was sticky and the meat was grounded, I only took a few bites and NOPE not for me. The pho was like water with not much nor much flavor. This is the 2nd time and last for me.

Decided to take family out before heading back home. So, we decided to give it a try. Food was good, but I feel like I have been over charged on some of the dish we ordered. I have no idea what the 18.99 was for. On the menu for a large thai boat was 16.99 so I’m assuming she charged me for 18.99 x 2 ? Some of the dish on the receipt did not even match the prices on the menu. Sadly, I’m one of those people who don’t normally asked why my bill is so high. I guess I learned my lesson to double check before paying. Besides, the lady who charged me was constantly on the phone and was probably distracted. Sucks that this will be my first and last.

Best service, amazing, delicious food. My family comes here every week because we never have and never will be disappointed by the food and service. Highly recommended!

This place has the best pad-tai I have ever had. I've been to a few here in town and I eat there often.
