Really good sushi spot, smaller and simpler menu which is great in my opinion. Sashimi was fresh didn’t taste weird. Service was good, friendly and fast. Vents need a good cleaning, a lot of dust build up in the intake vents from the summer.
Their rolls are good, packed well and rolled neatly. Some rolls come with more than others. Menu also doesn’t indicate cooked rolls vs raw rolls though. Overall good experience

My husband and I decided to try a different Japanese Restaurant from our regular one, so we can see what other Japanese Restaurants offer in Fresno. This was a huge mistake. The service was terrible as I had to keep asking for things (table setting, soy sauce, water refill, and our appetizer which came out after our main course because the waitress forgot). I told my husband that I could forgive one person's deficiencies if the food is decent and it was terrible again. Not sure where the sushi chefs are trained or trained at all. I know I can be picky as I was born and raised in Japan but this was not even acceptable in American restaurant standards. The sushi came poorly rolled and the contents in the roll fell out into the soy sauce, the roll came apart as I tried to pick it up with my chop-sticks and the fish was old. I was very disappointed. The other Japanese Restaurant we frequent is superb (not sure if I can mention the name her so, I won't). We will not be returning to Namakazi and not sure why they are still in business. I didn't want to be harsh but it was such a bad experience for my husband and I. My husband ordered the Curried Rice and he didn't even finish half of his meal as he kept saying something is off. We live and learn and just wanted to share our experience.

Always our favorite for like 5 years now. We just love the staff and the food is always on point. Their cocktails are fantastic as well!

As a foreigner I feel discriminated because they didn’t take my ID when they carded me for a drink. Unfortunately, I don’t carry my passport around just because it is an important document. The owner looked at my ID and told the waitress that I need an American passport or ID. So if you are planning to eat here and you have a foreign ID, bring your passport or they’ll shut you down.

The food was ok. I ordered the lunch special, which was a combo of 2 items from a list. I got the Tonkatsu Ramen (pork based) and a California roll. The roll was a little earthy tasting, and the noodles in the ramen were odd to the taste...perhaps I'm not used to the taste. The prices are fair, the service is good, just...an overall mediocre food experience. I spent $21 pre-tip (included a fountain drink.)

Meh. Disappointed. I paid for extra sauce and only got one cup that was half full. Rice was stale. It had been sitting awhile. It would have been more palatable if there was enough sauce. It was a door dash order so I definitely feel like it wasn't worth it.

Restaurant was dirty, tables and floor. The service and food was OK. But it was a lot better before. It was one of our favor place to eat sushi in Fresno.

Favorite neighborhood sushi place. From the hamachi kama to the unique adult cocktails concoctions, it is worth it. It's also Japanese owned. FYI many Japanese restaurants are Korean owned.

Food and drinks are incredible. You must visit if you're looking for Japanese food or Sushi and a great drink selection.
The spicy crispy chicken bowl was great. Had enough chicken to fill you up so you weren't only eating rice.
You MUST go!

I visited for the first in years after moving away and the food and service was just as good as I remembered.
