I thought the portions were small. When I get fried chicken from other Japanese spots they’re usually really big pieces and very crunchy, whatever it was here was tiny Chic Fil A sized nuggets, only smaller. What a rip off. The chicken bowl was wack as well, it was probably the amount of half a chicken thigh sliced on a bed of rice. I could’ve forgave that, but they had the audacity to add a gratuity to the check and ask for an ADDITIONAL tip. The lunch special was nothing special. Increase portion sizes, I’m not even a big back but I felt ripped off

Hi, the food was good but expensive compared to places that are as good, or better. The service staff was kind and attentive. The atmosphere wasn't as great as I would expect for the price (very visible wear and tear, louder than necessary music for lunch time, etc.). High chairs were dirty so I opted for a booster.

I wanted to be wowed. A friend loves this place, but I was underwhelmed. We had the lunch special. The Tempura and California rolls were both good. The tempura coating tasted good, and it was properly cooked. The Chicken bowl was generic. The teriyaki sauce is very good. The Sukiyaki bowl - thumbs down. Meat dry, hard and not flavorful. Yuck. So some food was a 4 and some a 2.

Great vegan options! Had the miso ramen and my partner had the curry udon. We also split the shishito peppers and a few rolls. Everything was delicious and satisfying. The curry udon broth was really flavorful. It’s great to see a restaurant clearly label and accommodate veg options. It’s even better when they go above and beyond with presentation!
I wish there was an option to add tofu to your plate (the soups were just noodles broth and vegetables) but I was full and happy nonetheless. I’m sure if we asked they could have accommodated, but would love to see some veg protein add-ons as part of the menu. The service was great, super friendly and attentive. Good relaxed atmosphere.

Vegan options in every part of the menu with a vegetarian rolls section. Got the shishito peppers (delicious), an avocado roll caterpillar roll and tofu lover roll (all great flavor wise but were kinda falling apart), I got the miso ramen and added a bit of soy sauce because broth was a bit bland (perfect w soy sauce to my preference) the noodles were a bit clumpy but the veggies were very nicely cooked. Wish it came with tofu. It wasn’t the best ramen I’ve ever had but I would come back. My bf got the curry udon and it was really delicious and flavorful I would order that next time. Overall pretty standard food with great service and good variety of options for vegans. Decent prices! I bookmarked and will be back next time I’m in Fresno.
