The place is a gem. Their tempura batter is excellent. A combination of flaky, sturdiness, and flavor. Gyosa were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. We came on a Tuesday and the place was sadly empty. Also, the service and attention to detail was just right. Our needs were met while allowing us to enjoy our meal. This is worth a drive from our home in North West Fresno.
Sushi bar lunch on a Thursday. Restaurant was over half full of customers, and the restaurant was understaffed. Till the sushi was committed and professional. He hurried out every order but prioritized me. Everything I ordered, he made within minutes. I suspect he was not supposed to be alone since I heard him ask about another person; however, he received a he's going to be late response. The hostess/waiter was alone and trying her best to attend to all the tables. Some customers murmured their displeasure. Overall, I will return and eat their again. Kind, polite, and professional staff.

The place is really nice and clean on the inside. The lady that took my order was really friendly and food was prepared fairly quickly. The seaweed salad was good I got a side of their spicy ponzu sauce to add to it which had great flavor. Both rolls were good. Nothing special tho. I would recommend this restaurant.

I think I found my go to place. I just haven't been impressed by other sushi places in Fresno. Good sushi overall, especially for the price. I had the rainbow roll. It was rolled nicely, bite sized. The rice was perfect texture and temperature. The rice to fish ratio was nice. Good date spot. Atmosphere was clean.

On A Roll Sushi was recently remodeled so the vibe is definitely super nice and inviting. The food is simply AMAZING, and the service is the best!!! Totally recommended! ?????? Check them out at downtown Fresno! I promise you will be going back! ???
I walked in just to have a quick appetizer with a date. We sat down and ordered a beer and some edamame. It took 20 - 30 mins just to get the edamame. Once the appetizer arrived, it was good, but the service took awhile.

I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of my food! Today I had a 2.5 hour drive down here in Fresno to take a test at the college and I was so pleased with my experience here! When I walked in I was a little thrown off, simply due to I was greeted the traditional Japanese greeting of "Irasshaimase" and I saw the bench had the Mezcal Lounge. Although, I was greeted and felt very welcome by the sushi chef, and he even seated me at the bar. He was so stinking sweet and served me well. I got the Bug's Life Roll. I believe it's a California roll with with broiled eel, avocado, and eel sauce. The chef offered me spicy mayo!! As simple the roll was, it was amazing! If and when I come back to Fresno. I'm definitely coming back to try their other rolls! :)
