I decided to revisit this restaurant today after a long hiatus, hoping for a memorable meal. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. I ordered a combination plate and a combo seafood plate, but the quality was quite disappointing. The tempura vegetables were undercooked and crunchy, the tempura shrimp was overcooked, and the squid lacked flavor.
I reached out to the manager, Vaa, who promptly returned my call. Since the restaurant was closed at the time, she offered to remake my meal the following day, but I would need to return the original plate. I explained my situation—having to work in the morning before they opened and then potentially needing to drive past the location to retrieve the plate after work. Unfortunately, her response felt dismissive rather than accommodating, suggesting more concern over me trying to get something for free rather than truly resolving my issue.
It’s disheartening to feel undervalued as a customer, especially when dining costs are so high. I’ll consider this $40 a lesson learned and will choose Kenji’s next time. I genuinely hope they can improve both their food quality and customer service in the future.

Very good food. Teriyaki was great, tempura was ok. They didn't have the right sauce for the tempura. Good portion. Space is limited to a few tables so you may want to just call in and pickup food like most customers have done during my visit.

I loved this place, but I just found a silver button in my white rice :,( this is the first that it has happened, but now I’m sad I can’t eat it. Did it come from the pot or a shirt? Not too sure :/
The food is good 👌 period. Once i got introduced to this place many years ago, it's been a place i always return to. They have several options. Different combo plates and bowls. I love their spicy sauce and worth purchasing extra. Tempera vegetables are surprisingly good. The restaurant is kinda small, but there is plenty of space to move around. Self seating. You have to order at the counter. I like that they have a large sign with pictures of what they have.
It's located on a store front on Shaw and Marks. You have to drive into the parking lot to see it.
A plate starts at $14.
