I've loved the green cake since I was a child and to me it's never tasted different! Every bite is nostalgic.
My mom picked up the cake for celebration and mentioned how good the store smells and the owner's English has improved.
She was impressed!
No local business is perfect, but you grow with them over the many years.

I really enjoyed the cake. I live in SoCal now and there is nothing like it! My excitement over the pink flowers and classic red lettering is everything! This cake makes me feel like a child again!

I went here yesterday for some "Banh mi" sandwiches. It was pretty mediocre and missing daikon. The bread wasn't the freshest but wasn't super hard or stale. The sandwich was pretty simple; pork, cilantro, carrots, cucumber and red chili (because I asked for spicy). Sandwiches was also only wrapped in one paper sheet with the ends sticking out. Whether thats ok with you or not I find it a little off putting... This place was considered one of the BEST banh mi place, but this was years ago. I wouldn't recommend Banh mi here and for the price of 9$. Not worth it.

But I haven't tried their cakes and have heard good things about them(in the past). So if you are planning to get something from there maybe try their cakes(I don't know if they are good or not).

4.5 stars only because they only take cash. If you forget the shell station in front of them has an ATM inside.
Food wise sammichs FKA sandwiches are fire.

It is a bit warm in there in the summer.

I will continue to come back for birthday cakes. The cakes are so soft, and the icing perfectly sweets.

The coconut filling is really good. The only downfall is the baking. The cake is moist, but for some reason, it turns into crumbs when you cut it or eat it.

I order sandwiches from here. I remembered it use to be really good but this time around the sandwiches no longer taste like before. Very disappointing and after reading some of these review, I also agree with them. Sandwiches taste plain with no flavor. If this continue, I'm sure they will loose a lot of customer.

The sandwiches are not what it use to be. Pricing has gone up to $8. Sandwich is a but dry and bland. Cakes are still good if that's what you're looking for.

One of my favorite places in all of Fresno. The people who run are always friendly and the spicy sandwiches are so good!

A lot of people likes their cakes but it's a ok for me only. Their Vietnamese sandwiches used to be the best but now it's ok too. They took all the good meat out of the sandwich so it only has one type of meat left(dry red pork meat). It doesn't have enough pâté too.
