This place is a hidden gem for Japanese food in Fresno. Without a doubt the best Japanese food at super reasonable prices.

The cook John was great. He was engaging and funny instead of going through the motions like some cooks do. Food was great too. Not a complaint just a suggestion, the waitress could have been a little more personable and enthusiastic. She wasn't bad but not great, very quiet and didn't say your welcome when thanking her. Other that good visit and will request John.

Tonight was my first time ever to a place like this before! I was so impressed with the service and the food. John was out chef and he was so good at his job and very entertaining. My group were wandering if he was a manager because his skills were that impressive. I am from out of town but I will be back here when I am in town!

We have eaten sushi here many times, and it has been a favorite. Recently, they started making all of their rolls with soy wrap instead of seaweed. Even the rolls that specifically say that they use seaweed. I was very disappointed to get my rolls, and they both were soy wrapped. I was told that they switched recently because the managers told them that they felt like people like soy more. This is something I feel they should notify their customers about. Post signs on the sushi bar or on the menu at least, so those of us who prefer seaweed can request it. Our chef was great and did a great job. After serving us, he put our check up for the waitress, and it took over 15 minutes after we finished our meal and drinks to get our check. This is not typical, but it was frustrating to sit and wait with no food or even drinks left. I know we will still eat here, but I hope they at least post some signs about the soy wrap.

You'd think because you're going to a teppanyaki, you and your family will have a nice outing. Wrong, not at this place. We made a reservation for my sister's and mom's birthday. No one told us the day of placing a reservation that there's a time limit and that we have to ask permission to open gifts ??!?!? Then I stuck up elder white approach my wife rudely and scolds her for a big incident we apparently caused. Go any where else but here for japanese cuisine. I will never be returning here ever again and I recommend everyone else do that as well.

Such a great experience! Our chef was entertaining and funny and did a great job. Who says a guy can't multi-task?!?! Be prepared for the bacon fried rice. It is life altering!

Terrible experience. 1st red flag should have been the dirty grimy entry. Ordered the lunch special and every item was cold, the only exception was the rice. Tempura veggies were cold, soggy and bland. Chicken was cold and tough. Soup was bland and unpleasant. The plate my food was served on was chipped as was the the dipping sauce bowl. Just wondering if less effort could have been made? The bathroom floor was so sticky and gross walking across it. Obviously management doesn't value the customer experience.

I brought the kids to Sakura, I havnt been in a minute. honestly the last couple of times the food was not great and I kept wasting it. Today was nothing different the manager made my drink horribly and refused to make me another! The soup was completely watered down- it taste like water no flavor whatsoever! The rice was mush it was so over cooked! I’m so disappointed in the quality of the food! The manager at the bar had terrible customer service he was so rude!! I used to be a loyal customer I swear by Sakura being better than Benihana! I will not return maybe the one in Clovis can give me better customer service for my money. It’s not like it’s cheap!! I’m pissed!!
