Unfortunately, on the night of a show I bought tickets for my boyfriend and me to celebrate our anniversary, we had THE most terrible experience with security. We made the mistake of briefly sharing the single-stall men’s restroom when there was no line. Not even two minutes in, a security guard aggressively knocked, entered, and was unnecessarily rude and hostile toward us. Instead of handling the situation with professionalism, he cursed at us and spoke in a way that was completely uncalled for. We weren’t given a chance to speak or explain; instead, the worst was assumed, and we were kicked out.
I’ve never encountered that level of disrespect from staff anywhere—police have treated me with more courtesy. I understand we made a mistake, and we were ready to be reasonable and apologize, but the way it was handled ruined the night. I bought these tickets for a special occasion, and instead it ended with us being kicked out. I’d understand if we were belligerent or difficult, but this was a complete and total surprise, we were not about to defy- the security guard looked like jar jar binks. Easy to spot- thanks for ruining my experience and perception of Strummers. Not to mention I’ve been going to strummers over the course of 5 years and have never once been kicked out.

Love it here! I'm a regular and the Shows are amazing. The vibe is always good. I love the staff! Kevin, Josh and Jaz are the best! And of course nikki spliff comedy and karaoke Tuesdays! Best KJ host ever!

Had the master volume way too loud and the mix unbalanced when The English Beat played. Even the band members complained. Cool place otherwise.

Went to see Glass Spells in concert, we arrived a little early so we figure we order some food. The food was delicious & fresh to order, definitely will eat there again! The concert area was great, the drinkers were separated from the non drinkers by a barricade. Everyone there was a vibe & having a great time. The sound system is amazing and every performer sounded amazing! I'll continue to go there not only to eat & drink but for future concerts!

We were so excited for this event. I was sharing everyday on Instagram and promoting it. We got there late to opening because we both work and didn't get off until 8, we made it and waited 30 minutes for the men's restroom, no moving. We danced to a Hamdi song, and went back to wait. Another 30 minutes. I checked the women's and nobody was in there. I told my HUSBAND I'll go in with you. While he was peeing a women security opened our stall, I said he is peeing. She said stop I'm security. I said he's just peeing I'm here with him my clothes and shorts are on. I kept trying to explain but she just kept saying take him out outside all the way out. When we got out the front door I asked to speak with her she said no, told the security out front not to let my husband back in. We didn't argue and left. I've been waiting for this event and I'm saddened to say I'll never come back. I don't know what was happening in the men's bathroom for it to have the same people in the line for an hour and nobody check, but I just don't understand why nobody talked to his WIFE, who was with him in an EMPTY women's restroom at a club with over an hour wait for the bathroom.
