Finally tried this place this morning and we're surprised to find a very modest, small restaurant given the awesome reviews.
We ordered the popular tri tip breakfast sandwich and a basic breakfast plate with bacon.
We waited about 25 minutes for our food to arrive which I, personally, don't mind as long as it's fresh. The food came out PIPING HOT so clearly, made to order (love that!)
The tri tip had a solid smoke flavor, almost too much for me- it took over the flavor of the breakfast sandwich. I could not taste the egg, cheese, or hashbrowns over the meat and the meat was not easily biteable/ not tender enough. The sandwich also needed a sauce of some kind. It came on toasted bread, plain.
The breakfast plate was great- hashbrowns could've gone a couple minutes longer but that's me being a stickler.
Other than walking in to the smell of MJ and a lack of decor, the place was welcoming. We were greeted at the door, asked if it was our first time, directed on what to do, etc. coffee came out hot and refills were completed by the diner vs a host. We loved that, honestly. It's clearly a chill vibe where all are welcome.

First time here after seeing reviews and it did not disappoint. We ordered Sunnyside Breakfast Combo with French Toast, Spanish Omelette with side of fruit, Clam Chowder and the Chicken Teriyaki. No complaints at all. Everything was delicious. Luckily we went in when we did though because it got real busy and wait time for food was lengthy for those waiting but totally expected with a mom and pop restaurant. Very friendly customer service. 10/10.

I read the reviews before coming here and it seemed like our best option for some brunch.
We arrived and walked in, I was immediately skeptical. Very plain, no bells or whistles in this establishment. I remained strong and ordered. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito with salsa and cheese with a coffee with cream and sugar. The coffee was good, definitely real cream which made it delightful. The food did take a bit to come out but that's when everything turned up. I sunk my teeth into that burrito and it was exquisite. Chefs kiss.
Needless to say, this place is well deserving of it's well-established rating. Bravo.

Hands down the BEST breakfast we’ve had. We’ve been on vacation all weekend eating out at numerous dinners and restaurants & to our surprise this little dinner took the WIN!
Our food was delicious, flavorful and they were very generous on their portions. FINALLY our hash browns were actually cooked crisp instead of the normal soggy uncooked hash browns everywhere else makes.
The atmosphere and hospitality was on Point! We felt welcome and felt the GOOD VIBES of Sunnyside Diner!!
Thank you! I would drive the 1.5 hrs again just to enjoy another meal!!

It's not like a typical diner with table service. The breakfast/lunch menu was small. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious.
Nice atmosphere. Very nice staff. Service was excellent. Price was incredibly fair. Partner and I had breakfast here. And it was very good. Very fresh. Food arrived hot and quickly considering it was all prepared as we ordered. Wish I was local because I would eat here all the time.

First timers from out of town, we were pleasantly greeted once we walked through the door! Noticed that this was a family run establishment and the food was cooked with care and presentation was mindful. Food came hot off the grill and was delicious. Ingredients were good. They give you a good proportion with fair and reasonable pricing. Cheaper than most of your breakfast options in the area and tastes better too! Highly recommend stopping here for some breakfast food. Haven’t tried the lunch items yet but I’m sure they’re good! Thank you to everyone at sunny side for making it a pleasant brunch.
