The sign of a good restaurant is consistency in my opinion. On this they failed. The service was slow and the Joe's steak very disappointing. Our first visit was fantastic but this visit convinced us to go elsewhere next time in Fresno. Nice ambiance isn't enough to bring us back. Disappointed.

My meal was great I had Joes steak baked potato and green beans. Husband on the other hand had the ponderosa steak asked for medium well and got medium rare. Asked for two orders of mashed potatoes and got cold clumpy potatoes and a dark gravy that was super salty. He also wanted his favorite soup clam chowder and it's usually really good the highlight of the meal and instead he got a watered down soup that looked like it came out of a grocery store can. He was very disappointed and has plans on not going back anytime soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Tahoe Joe's Fresno CA. Our server Dena is the best! Dena made sure we had everything we needed. She always makes dining here a great experience! We had the The Twin Petite Filets and The Joe's steak. The meat was cooked perfectly to our liking and seasoned just right. The chef did an excellent job! We were also impressed with the host/busboy Matthew. He is very pleasant and is eager to assist the servers as well as the customers. Thank you Tahoe Joe's we will surely be back soon!

Unfortunately, not a fan of Joes steak. I wanted a juicy steak and unfortunately, it was dry and bland. I should have ordered the ribeye. The sides and nachos were good however.
Solid steaks for sure! The Virginia City fillet mignon was extremely tender and cooked to a perfect medium/medium rare. It was wrapped with a bacon strip around it which gave it a unique flavor. Being on the Keto diet, I hadn’t had a baked potato for over 2 years and not because I couldn’t, of course you have to have a cheat day here and there, but because I hadn’t ran across a baked potato like this one at any other restaurant I’ve eaten at. This baked potato is worth the carb load! I loved the side of string beans which had a really smoky flavor. I also got a side of steak mushrooms which had a satisfying garlicky umami flavor. Overall a very tasty meal for sure!!

Took my wife to the north Fresno location for her birthday, It will be the last time as it’s not the same anymore. The pan seared calimari is half the size it used to be for $30 and the rolls ( her favorite) were only served with the full meal ( one each) and not with the appetizer , soup or salad. Drinks were served in small jars which would have been ok if the server would have came back to refill when empty. As George Harrison sang “ all things must pass”.

I usually like this place. But yesterday was a Tuesday and everything was disappointment at this place. Steaks were not the same size nor same thickness for our guests and us, one very thin, the other very thick, not cooked to doneness wish, our waitress was new trying her best but not best, green beans seem to come out of a can, or frozen, not fresh. Disappointment 😥 Even the rolls weren't good as usual. The only things we enjoyed were the salad, the fries and the baked potato. Luckily enough, our guests were joyful folks, and made the moment worth it despite the adventure. Not sure I'll come back any soon. Will have to let the disappointment fade with time. Not ready to bring guests either
