The food here is spectacular. I loved my sushi roll and hand roll. The service was very good and we were checked on a few times. The ambiance inside was very well decorated to the point that my friend said that they wanted to get the same type of doors that separate the additional dining area from the primary dining room in the restaurant in his house.

Been here 3 times before Covid, and in my memory, it was super fancy! Just did a revisit recently, and it's just a normal looking sushi restaurant. Doesn't feel upscale anymore. Nothing bad about it, but it's just not how I remember it. Could be because I'm older now, and before, anything on that side of town felt upscale and fancy. Sushi wasn't spectacular, but it was good. Our server was very friendly.

We had reservations for 7:30pm, they seated someone else before us even though they arrived at 8pm. We didn't get seated until after 8. Waited another 30 mins for our server. She then proceeds to "lose" our order. Didn't get our food until about 9. The whole time I was hoping that the food would be worth the wait. It was not. Now if they were understaffed I get that, but from my knowledge reservations still get first priority. So still, it's not an excuse. I did feel discriminated against ( I'm Hispanic). I hope this wasn't the reason behind all of this but by judging based on the demographic it just might have been. I don't like to leave bad reviews and I'm understanding but I've just hadn't experienced such terrible service until now.

TL;DR it's really good and you should absolutely go! Food: 5/5 Absolutely delicious, as pictured we had the Salmon Kama, Poke Bowl, Chirashi Bowl, Alaska Roll, Monkfish Liver Sashimi, and A5 Wagyu Nigiri. Salmon Kama: cooked beautifully, absolutely delicious! Poke Bowl: A fantastic choice, I chose the one with tuna. All of the flavors work together extremely well Chirashi Bowl: Again, if you want just a little something extra with your sashimi then this is an amazing choice. Only complaint was about the way the salmon was cut, it rendered it a bit harder to chew through. Alaska Roll: Fantastically flavored, not too spicy and absolutely delicious. A5 Wagyu Nigiri: it will melt in your mouth. This is my favorite piece of meat I have ever consumed Monkfish Liver: I'll be totally honest, this one was a bit of a gamble for me! I've never tried it but I've heard it's great, it's definitely something very unique and worth trying at least once. I promise. Drinks: 5/5 We had: the Tokyo Tea and a Smokey Cinnamon Old Fashioned (sub Hibiki Harmony in for the regular whisky) - Tokyo Tea: very good! Sweet, melon-y, and not overpowering - Old Fashioned: I will never think of whisky the same way again. This has been my favorite old fashioned, and I would love to order it again. I just wish it got rung up a little differently, like as an upcharge on the cocktail that already exists. Service: 5/5 The place was PACKED when we came in. Make reservations. Make them! Or you will have a wait like no other. The restaurant was very full, and food was slow to come out, but that is far from an issue with this place. It was just full. Our server was polite, apologetic, and made sure we were never neglected. Atmosphere/Cleanliness: 5/5 When you walk in you immediately know what this place is all about. With lots of whisky merchandising in front of house, next to the well-stocked bar. You can then see the traditional charcoal grill station and sushi making station when walking to your table. The place is super clean, and definitely feels inviting.

Great sushi and a cool whisky bar. Can be a little pricy but it's worth it. They kill it on their presentation for both the food and the drinks. We will be back again soon.

Celebrated a combo of Valentine's and my anniversary here, and I was far from disappointed. The restaurant was generally very packed, both a good sign that it's worth being at, and a sign that wait times might be a bit high. I am definitely taking that into account as I write this.Food: 10/10.For a starter we had the salmon kama, with simple flavors but a perfect cook on the salmon, I loved it.Entrees/a la carte: I had the Poke bowl, she got the Chirashi bowl, we also split the monkfish liver and an A5 Wagyu 2pc Nigiri, and lastly an Alaska Roll. Every item was lovely. It's not easy to judge sushi or raw fish conventionally, it's all about the ingredients, rather than how they've been cooked and seasoned. All items were fantastic. I personally found that the monkfish was not for me, but it wasn't bad by any measure. The Wagyu was phenomenal. I didn't know the meaning of "melt in your mouth" until I ate that piece of steak. I was absolutely in heaven.Drinks: 10/10My drink of choice: Smoked Cinnamon Old Fashioned with Hibiki Harmony. It was a wonderful, sweet, boozy drink. The presentation was phenomenal with the drink being smoked right at the table. Her drink of choice: Tokyo Tea. It was a sweet, fizzy drink that doesn't taste overpowering but can definitely cause a head rush if you aren't careful! I took one sip and while I still personally prefer a Long Island Iced Tea, it was absolutely deliciousService: 10/10Harmonee was amazing as a server. The place was positively packed, and food did take quite a while to make its way to us, but Harmonee was there for us! She was so kind, always making sure our drinks were filled and doing her best to update us on the status of our food. She also took notice of my girlfriend's bag and nails which was so sweet!Cleanliness/atmosphere: 10/10From the get-go you are shown exactly what this place is all about. When you walk in, the bar is one of the first things you see, with plenty of whisky related decor in the waiting area, including a comically large bottle of Bulleitt bourbon. As we made our way to our table (thank God for reservations!) We were able to see both the traditional charcoal grill on which our appetizer was cooked, and the sushi station hard at work. There was no doubt in my mind that everything was clean and sanitary, and even the restroom was in good order, with no graffiti. They also definitely make an effort to ensure that bathroom never, ever smells anything less than wonderful.Parking: great! Despite being in an area with plenty of restaurants, and being totally packed, we were able to get pretty close to the restaurant. This was an amazing spot and I can't wait to save up some more money and come back to try even more of their menu.

Great service. We did made reservation but have to wait a while for our table. The mgr did provided us a few complimentary appetizers for our wait. Thank you. Waitress is very pleasant and up on her game. I got myself the Mystery Rolls. I loved how the waitress asks me for my preference, raw or fried. I requested can they do in between fried n raw, she suggested 'baked' The Mystery Rolls, when it came out I was impressed. Loved the presentation. The rolls itself, I would not say it's bad but it's not good. I don't think I would order it again. But if I do, prob just for the presentation.

First impressions: impressive interior design with a chill atmosphere. There are a good amount of seatings in the dining area, as well as at the drink bar and sushi bar. I have never seen such an expansive whisky selection. For drinks, we ordered Echigo beer which is very cool because I haven't seen that anywhere else in Fresno. It's my favorite and we may just go back for the beer alone. But the food was also good. We started off with the veggie tempura and seaweed salad. It is the best executed tempura in the area, in my opinion. My partner ordered the nigiri and I the Fahrenheit 101. I really enjoyed the Fahrenheit 101 roll, but that spice is no joke. In addition to my beer, I had three glasses of ice water to soothe my burning mouth. It was a bit embarrassing, but thank you to the kind bartender that silently acknowledged my pain by refilling my glass every time right when I finished it. Overall, great atmosphere, great drinks, great food, and great service! I will be back

Our first omakase experience was amazing thanks to our sous chef who catered to our preferred tastes and our server who gave us great drink suggestions! We tried the 12-course omakase and it was definitely filling. All of the courses did not disappoint. They also gave us the bread pudding for dessert at the end, but the bread was a little over baked/hard to eat. Overall, the flavors were good and we'd love to come back to try their other menu options. We went on a Monday night and there were plenty of seats open, but you need a reservation for omakase.

The food was amazing we got the blue fin 9 piece with fresh wasabi. As well as the chicken Katsu dinner the chicken was so soft and flavorful, the tempura veggies are delicious not soggy. The upgraded fried rice was okay I wouldn't order again didn't have much flavor would of been better with the white rice. We did a walk in and got sat immediately in between two large party's that where extremely loud. The seating arrangement was quite strange and felt like we where just shoved in the middle. Might be a different experience with a reservation not sure. My table had smashed old wasabi on it which i just scrapped off didn't want to bother the server to clean it. The menu has a QR code to see the pricing since it's not on menu. I understand large party's come in small tables aren't a priority but there where multiple servers and i had to ask for refills after 25 mins of empty glasses. Service could be better for the price but was the best sushi in Fresno.

First time trying this place out. It was packed so be sure to make a reservation! Me and my boyfriend ordered a lot of food as you can see. The waitress got our order wrong with the nigiri but it was fine. The A5 wagyu was delicious although I did not care for the sauce. One come is that we did have to wait awhile for the food to come out. Overall, super yummy.
