The dude and I came here for Fresno Street eats event on the 09/03/20 as we wanted to come out and support the local Fresno Streets Eats event. The dude wanted me to look this place up and they had some pretty good reviews! So my expectations for this place a little high. The staff was hands down so friendly and the male owner shared he is an Oakland A's fan which they were excited to run into another A's fan as I guess it's rare in the Central Valley. Now the food was pretty good! The dude ended up getting 2 $4 dollar tacos which for the price was not worth it at all..the shrimp taco was good but not worth $4 at all! The pork belly taco was good but definitely not worth $4 either! The dude was still hungry. They did have $2 tacos too which we thought the $4 tacos would be more filling.I do not recommend the $4 tacos but I do want to try the $2 tacos whenever we get the chance to. Overall it was a good experience and would give them a try again!

Great tacos and street fries. Tacos on the gourmet style with pickled onions, pork belly and other toppings that are a step above most run of the mill taco places

Enjoyed the taco truck menu outside of the ModernIst & HIGHLY recommend the chicken and pork belly tacos. Honestly, so delicious. I'm sure the brick & mortar location is just as amazing. Go. You won't regret it.

Wow. Thank heaven for Taste Kitchen! Delicious tacos. I ordered three tacos, shrimp, fish, and carne asada. Absolutely delicious. You will not be disappointed here. Everything is fresh and made to order. All salsas and sauces are great too. Bottled or canned drinks, no fountain drinks. Fresh horchata. Staff very friendly, quick and professionally. I ordered food to go but the restaurant is clean and spacious. I first had a taco from their taco truck. They need to put out their schedule and location. The restaurant location is Kings Canyon and Fowler. Worth the drive.

Great food. Had the pork belly fries and the pork belly is amazing. "Melts in mouth" amazing. The salsa is also really good, on the spicier side but i thought it was perfect. Order a burrito also but it was forgettable. Not that it was bad but I've had better, although the salsa made it so much better. Nice, clean, and quite place. The staff is attentive and nice.

I just had the Sunny Side Up Quesadilla it was sooo good! With the red salsa. They also have delicious pork belly tacos. The food is always good here and original. The Aqua frescas are the awesome too and home made

The cook takes too long. He does the register also and then goes to cook. Like they don’t trust the other people. The food is good. But the cook talks too much in the kitchen that he takes longer than normal. One time it took 29 minutes to get our food. Last time it took less because I asked what was the waiting time.

Food is great. Place is clean, but service is not good at all. The cook who also takes care of the register needs social skills. Did not receive a welcome or thank you. When he does both things service is slow. He should not be touching money if he is cooking.

Things didn't start out too well for me here. I come in and get the, 'is this a work visit or lunch visit?,' look. For some reason, I'm led to believe that I can go sit, figure out what I want and someone will take my order. So I'm sitting for awhile and the same girl stops by asking if I'm waiting for someone. No, just waiting to get my order taken. So she apologizes and says I have to go back to the counter to take my order first. It's a little embarrassing that I couldn't figure out how to order from a restaurant, but let's move on. I would love to try every taco here. Wait, let me rephrase that. Every meat taco they have here. Since it is lunch time, I figure 3 tacos will do the trick. Personally, I'm an asada/adobada kind of guy, but this being a food truck kind of restaurant, I'm looking for something out of the ordinary. I go with the pork belly, shrimp and fish, no matter how unappealing pork belly was sounding. More on that later. What I noticed about the tacos was they had a lot of meat. No complaints there. More bang for my buck is always a good thing. The shrimp was probably my favorite. Flavor wise, my next favorite was the pork belly. The thing is, pork belly is more fat than meat, and I've found as I get older, I don't do well with greasy foods. So by the end of my meal, my stomach was on the qweezy side. So unless you have the same reactions to oily/fatty foods, don't let my experience keep you away. Given the opportunity, I'd still come back and try the traditional meats. And now that I know what I'm doing, I won't embarrass myself next time

My favorite is the shrimp salad bowl. It is very good and made with good quality ingredients. It's hard to find a healthy/vegetarian friendly taco place in the Valley. Wish more restaurants would take cue and take more pride in their food. The only bad part was that I had to endure horrible country music which doesn't even go with the vibe of the place. Lol

Always, always, always the best taco you can find in Fresno. Period. Fresh, simple ingredients shown the utmost respect with the most wonderful intention. The GOAT.
