This restaurant is now called Buatong. It's now all vegan. We aren't vegan but wanted to try the food. It was very good. We had the usual Pad Thai (tofu) and tried the yellow curry with "chicken". Soo tasty. We will def be back!
Fantastic Thai food. Wouldn’t have know it was vegan if they didn’t say it. Everything was

Some of the best Thai food I've ever had, not the best Vegan Thai, the best overall.

It was delicious! Everything we ordered was just like I like it. It was a little slow, but worth the time.

This place is a gem with incredible flavors that seem to be one of a kind family recipes. The restaurant used to be called Thai Royal Orchid, but the new name is Buatong. Yes, this is a 100% vegan restaurant, but if you aren't vegan, give it a try!
The lunch specials come with a beautiful array of food. I got the Yellow curry, and it came with a Thai side salad, fried spring roll, rice, AND a choice of chow mein or pad Thai. The chow mein was absolutely delicious and reminded me of the noodles you can get specifically in the Southwest Chinese (Yuunan)/Northeast Indian/Burmese region! Came with so many veggies!
Note that I went on a day where they were short staffed, but everything was worth the wait! Don't let that deter you. Can't wait to go back!

I was excited to try their vegan menu. We were there on a Friday night and it was crowded, which I thought was a good sign. Unfortunately, they were understaffed. I ordered Spring Rolls, my gf ordered Drunken Noodles with “beef” and I had “Chicken” with peanut sauce.
I can’t tell you about the spring rolls since they never came. The Drunken Noodles did not have a lot of flavor and not spicy at all - my gf had to look for chili oil to add (she also picked out all of the fake beef). The Chicken with peanut sauce was too much chicken and not enough spinach. The “meat” is seitan, which upsets my stomach if I eat a lot. I should have chosen a tofu dish. I have eaten there before and the curry with tofu was delicious.

We were so excited to try the new and improved all vegan Thai spot until the service was not servicing. Me and my significant other ordered 2 dishes and 1 appetizer and a larger table behind us ordered shortly after. I was confused at how quickly they served the table of 8 before us 2, as we placed our order clearly ahead of them. We felt as if they wanted to impress them and get a bigger tip from the bigger table. Very upsetting we had to ask for other items that were missing on out table but already made and served to the larger table. Very disappointing because it was only us and the larger table, no other tables for the whole hour we were there.

Healthy portions, delicious, a steady spice in the Tom Yum soup that didn't build. We had the 6 egg rolls, fried rice w/ mixed veggies, Pad Thai w/ chix and the Tom Yum soup. All winners. We kinda over ordered for the 2 of us, and yeah, we're gonna get another meal or two from the leftovers. We are definitely going back! * We've been 4 times so far, delicious every time! I came here for the very first time last night and I wish I had known about this place years ago, as the food was amazing! It is now 100% vegan, and I believe they are changing their name to Buatong Thai Vegan. I had the yellow chickn curry with rice and veggies. It was so good! Especially on a cold night, the curry was warm a bit spicy but nothing overwhelming. I don't eat a lot of spice, and it was just the right amount. The owner and her staff are AMAZING! We went with a group, and they made us feel so welcomed and appreciated. The atmosphere is cozy. It's the perfect winter eat spot, between the warm, delicious food and the cozy atmosphere, it's where I want to be. The tables are large and made family style. Definitely give this place a try.

Extensive vegan menu that will satisfy your deepest cravings. The Tofu Tom Kah soup is craveable, and the sticky rice with mango was all I'd hoped it would be.
This still reminds me of old Thai Royal Orchid. A lot of people might hesitate when they hear it's vegan but there hasn't been a single drop in quality. Absolutely fantastic food, service, atmosphere, everything is top notch. Hard to find any other restaurants in this price range that can compete with this!
