The Chicken Shack

This place used to be really good, but the quality has gone downhill. The lemon pepper flavor has completely changed it’s just salty now with no sourness at all. The food overall tastes low quality, like it’s pre-made and reheated instead of fresh. The portions have also gotten noticeably smaller.

I’ve also noticed they make their employees do everything by themselves. There’s a young Black woman who works there who gives amazing customer service and really tries her best, but she’s always cooking, cashiering, cleaning the dining area, and answering phone calls all at once especially during lunch rush. Because there is usually only one person working, the food takes much longer to come out. Customers end up getting frustrated and taking it out on her, even though she’s clearly doing the job of multiple people. I honestly feel bad for her. Almost every time I come in, something isn’t working, and there’s usually someone arguing with her about the food quality. I’ve heard her say she can’t do anything about it because they’re under new ownership and things have changed.

The new owner seems very unprofessional and is genuinely ruining this place. I’ve even heard him tell a worker that he uses their tips to pay bills instead of giving the tips to the employees because he has a bunch of other businesses and says he’s “poor.” That’s completely unfair and wrong.

The restaurant is also getting dirty. It used to always be clean, but now it’s not maintained the same way. Overall, the food quality has dropped, the environment feels unorganized, and the employees don’t seem to be treated fairly. It’s really disappointing to see what this place has become. If you’re looking for good quality chicken and better service, you’re honestly better off going somewhere like Cane’s or The Chicken Shack downtown.

We order 20 fingers with the dry seasonings on them to go and there was no seasoning on them. Chicken was eh. Not juicy, dry.

First time coming here and also the last, the only good thing about this place, the food was hot and the woman who tool my order was nice. It took a while for it to be prepared, but sadly, it was bland and super mid. I had The Chicken Sandwich combo...the fries were super salty my sandwich Had 1 pickle, 1 piece of lettuce and 1 oddly shaped onion On the sandwich, I can understand why they have a lot of condiment packets out because that Chicken Sandwich was dry like a thanksgiving turkey and rough like sandpaper.....dont stop and spend your money here if you are hungry💯

Restaurants like this one always make me regret taking a risk and not looking at reviews before eating. The chicken was so bland and boring. Bordering on disgusting. The breading was chewy.

Food is spectacular. However the girl working at the register is absolutely terrible at her job. No sense of how to be nice or friendly to customers, no greeting, etc. I would come here more often if I was treated nicely. Avoid it here Wednesdays at 7pm unless you want to get treated like an annoyance.

This is literally the best food in the world that you can never get. They never have anything. They never want to make anything. They are always out. Every time I come to the store they are out of what I want. They don't want to cook for you. They don't want to work. They don't want to come out of the back. They don't want to do anything. I'm sick of coming to the store

The girl working the register at 7pm on Tuesday, April 29th has absolutely no sense of how to talk to customers.

I got a salad with grilled chicken. It was okay. I wouldn't write home to Mom about it, but I have had the chicken strips before, and they're absolutely 😋 delicious

The only thing I have tried here is the chicken wraps. They are good but they add very little chicken. Note to the owner please add a bit more chicken to the wraps so we won’t feel like we are being robbed. I like the original wrap with the zesty ranch sauce I think they call it.

Rude cashier , mest up my food , my order wasn’t the best , super dry . Will not be returning

I love their Buffalo chicken fries with Mac n cheese. I do think it's a little pricey but the portions are good. Definitely will be going back.

Chicken tenders shrunk ?? i haven't been here since 2022, but I went in today and I swear the tenders were so microscopic. Hella soggy too, no crunch. I was like damn r they cutting food costs or what. Customer service was very good though I just didn't think I'd be getting a kids meal size for 13 bucks

I had a chance to eat in and I was very impressed with the customer service of the young lady running the front this afternoon. She would greet customers, make recommendations, run out orders and thank customers on their way out. Well done!
