Everytime I come here I order the seabass and it is AMAZING. Not this time. The taste was off and the texture. It did not fall apart like normally and it was salty. Huge disappointment. The Rockefeller oysters had way too much spinach and cheese and the actual oyster was tiny. Not worth the price. The crab cakes however were amazing. Would have been happy to just order that. Not sure we will return after this visit

We came to the Palms to have a nice dinner with our family and everything was going great until my wife and my sister in laws dinner didn't come out. I ordered the ribeye and they both were rested the filet and their food came out 20 min after ours. The entire table was done eating before they even received their food. First time here and we were extremely disappointed. $300 dinner and we didn't even get to enjoy our food together.

The Palms consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. We had a 5:30 reservation and were promptly seated upon arrival, with the option to choose our preferred table. We selected one near the live piano music, which added a wonderful ambiance to the evening. Our server, Cassie, was warm, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. We started with the calamari appetizer, which was lightly breaded and perfectly prepared—delicious and not overly heavy. Cassie shared the evening's specials with us in detail. My wife selected the halibut, which she described as perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. I had the Chilean sea bass, which was equally flavorful and expertly prepared. To complement the meal, my wife enjoyed a French 75 that was mixed to perfection. The atmosphere, elevated by the outstanding piano performance, made for a memorable evening. The Palms remains a top choice for fine dining and live music.

My favorite restaurant in Fresno. The Palms consistently provides excellent service, outstanding food, ambiance is perfect and has piano music on Friday and Saturday nights. The food is priced well and you receive huge portions. You won't be disappointed whether you eat here for lunch or for dinner.

We always have a great dining experience at The Palms. The specials are very creative, delicious, and satisfying. I usually succumb to one of the specials, but chose the Filet this trip. It was the most amazing piece of meat I've eaten in a long, long time. Cooked perfectly, so tender, and the flavor stood on its own... no sauces, no seasonings... just the meat! My wife went for the Halibut special and was equally pleased with her choice. The live entertainment enhances the ambiance without detracting from the food and conversation at the table. A very "un-Fresno" dining experience and a great way to celebrate our wedding anniversary!

Seemed too busy for a party of 9. Service lagged. I had no water for a while. Took forever for cocktails

Overall we had a poor experience. The food was ok but for the price, my entree was sub-par. The service was not good - unfriendly and inattentive. The atmosphere was extremely loud. Our conversation was nearly inaudible. Additionally, I made a special request during the reservation process as it was my wife's birthday dinner, and it was never recognized. I would not recommend. As a matter of fact, I have already steered people away from dining here.

My husband took us to the Palms for my bday. I had previously been for a medical talk there and enjoyed the food; it was his first time there. We decided to go early before our dinner reservations to have a drink at the bar. The staff is so incredible! Very friendly and welcoming. We were sat in the main area so that we could listen to the piano player. It was so enjoyable! We both ordered the Classic Caesar salads. Excellent! I then ordered the Pan Roasted Almond crusted Salmon. One of the waitresses recommended it blackened, but i decided to just order off the menu. It was one of the most exquisite salmon dishes i have had and i dont usually order salmon. .. My husband ordered could'nt decided between the lamb shank or the special, short ribs for the evening. He decided to go for the short ribs... and said it was one of the best short rib dishes he has ever eaten. He is a very good cook and foodie, and undoubtedly knows his food. Overall, and wonderful dinner with excellent food, ambiance and waitstaff. Would have given 5-stars, but the short rib dish was pricey at $55... they do give a very large serving though. Only suggestion would be to maybe give prices of specials up front, then customers wont be surprised.

We were visiting from out of town and thought we would go out for a steak. The server went over the specials which were Sole with prawns and Braised Beef Short Ribs. She did not go over all of the ingredients of the Ribs but I asked if I should try the ribs rather than a filet with peppercorns sauce. She recommended the Short Ribs. When it came it had a cream sauce and with every bite something new was on my fork. Gnocchi, cherry tomatoes, baby zucchini, roasted garlic. This may have been the best plate of food I have ever eaten. The Sole with prawns was also exceptional. The cocktails were mixology grade. HIGHLY recommend this place on so many levels. ENJOY.

We have celebrated many special moments with the Palms. From ur first visit to our most recently celebrated event, the staff has always gone out of their way to make the most of our special moments. Our meals have always been delicious and consistent. We have never felt rushed or made to feel like we have outstayed our welcome. If you have not visited The Palms, do yourself a huge favor by visiting this beautiful establishment.

We arrived and seated immediately. Received our waters and my boyfriend ordered a beer and when it arrived the fire alarm went off. Since our reservation was for 2030 we didn't have time to wait to see how long before it would be turned off. So we left.

We were hoping for a great birthday experience for my wife. They even asked if we were celebrating anything and then wrote it down. That was the last we heard of it. But that was far from the worst part. My wife is allergic to cilantro. We asked if there was any cilantro in what we ordered. We were told no by a server who supposedly went to the kitchen to find out. There was cilantro in the pineapple salsa on the crabcakes. The crabcakes were great except for the cilantro. My wife started getting blisters in her mouth and throat immediately. She was unable to enjoy her expensive Chilean sea bass as her taste buds were shot because of her reaction. I had the duck, which after scraping off some of the overpowering sauce, was pretty good and cooked the way I ordered it. All in all, a hoped for great celebration at a nice restaurant turned into a horrible experience where they didn't even take the offending crab cakes off the bill. The server showed zero concern for my wife's allergic reaction as well. We won't be back and have already shared our experience with many of our friends.

I would give these straight fives all the way across except for we went in the evening on a Friday at 6:30 and they have live music and the music is so loud that when you're talking at your table, you cannot hear the person across from you, you have to have above level talking. This would not be a romantic place if you wanted to have a quiet dinner. Other than that, the food is superb service is outstanding.
