7 Leaves Cafe State College

So I got two coffees here, the first was the mint sereno and it was good, but not great. The mint was not strong enough and it did not appear to be an espresso based drink, which meant that it lacked the coffee punch. However,I got an iced House Coffee after and that was excellent. Great flavor. Smooth and easy to drink. I would definitely recommend.

Additionally in our party was a Thai Iced Tea with a salty foam. It was really good. We also got some macaroons. The rose and pistachio both got good compliments, but the salted caramel drew raves.

Ordered Vietnamese house coffee and they cheap out on the foam on the top of the coffee. Other 7leaves load it up! This location cheap out!

I can see this particular location is a college student hangout with lots of chairs and young staff. This is probably my least favorite location though as my most recent visit, the young girl who took my order seemed to have rushed through my drink. All the 7 leaves I've been to, would top off my drink, and I didn't ask any modifications, such as light ice. But my drink didn't even reach the top. A little disappointed. And it's not like she was rude, mean, didn't smile or had rbf, but didn't feel like she wanted to service me and ran away as soon as my drinks were handed.

Bottom Line Up Front:
If you want a Vietnamese twist on boba drinks that are tasty, reliable, and reasonably priced, check out 7 Leaves. I've been to several locations, but review will just focus on my recent visit to the Fullerton location.

The Drinks:
It offers a good selection of different drinks without being overwhelming, ranging from coffees and teas to juice and off-menu concoctions. I ordered the holiday house special -- a seasonal drink that combines its iced coffee with peppermint creamer, chocolate sea cream, and peppermint candy bits. I normally get the regular house special, and this was a perfect variation for the holidays!

The Food:
I didn't buy anything this time, but in the past they've sold macarons and a small selection of pastries. But you won't find full on meals here.

The Service:
The team here is always fast, polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. Excellent training by management.

The Location:
It's located in the same small strip mall as a Starbucks, Verizon, and Chipotle. Parking can get filled up quickly, especially during peak times when nearby Cal State Fullerton is in full swing. Inside, the store itself is pretty narrow. There are a variety of tables and chairs, but not a ton, so avoid using this as a hangout spot with a large group. It's most ideal for parties of 4 or fewer people.

The Bathroom:
They are clean and well stocked, but unfortunately require a code to use. This keeps the riffraff and homeless out, but quite annoying as a customer. And it's surprising to see, since this store is in a decent location near campus.

The Conclusion:
If you're looking for Taiwanese boba, you might be disappointed. But if you want a Vietnamese twist on this Asian drink, you'll love 7 Leaves as much as I do.

House coffee was not filled up, we waited...patently and requested Upsize but for no reason, they didn't fill the cup up. Disappointed.

Not a big ice coffee fan but I got the house black iced coffee with some kinds foam on top and honestly pretty good even my girlfriend who usually has flavored coffee enjoyed it id recommend giving this place a try if you haven't already.

Normally, I do not go to the location. I got the drink. I always order the black sea cream. this time they gave me the bare minimum amount of cream, and they were very rude and looked at me like I was an idiot. When I wanted more, I complained about the amount of cream they took back the drink and it could no longer be sealed, making me unable to mix the drink. I asked for a refund, when the refund was finished, they took the drink from my hand and informed me, I wouldn’t get the money for five days poor staff, and poor service at this location. Kevin, needs to teach his employees customer service all over again.
