We went on a Friday night on a date and sat at the bar and had an amazing time. Not only was every food item fantastic Ethan was also a great server and chef offering great recommendations such as the chutoro moo which made my partner’s favorite and the Nikkei bluefin tuna which was mine. It was an awesome time with amazing food and thank you Ethan!

WOW! What a delightful and creative fusion of traditional Japanese sushi with Peruvian flavors. I enjoyed several dishes tapas-style, perfect for sharing and naturally slowing the pace so you can really savor each dish. The servers were warm, friendly, and very helpful. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

I celebrated my birthday at Akashiro and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The Peruvian influence was apparent in the menu but never overpowering — everything tasted so intentional and thoughtfully crafted by the chefs. The ceviche was amazing, the nigiri was fresh and perfectly seasoned, and I loved that the rolls weren’t overloaded with rice — just beautifully balanced. The decor added to the overall experience, giving the restaurant a stylish yet welcoming feel. Definitely a place I’d return to not only for special occasions but also on a regular day.

Incredible fusion concept. The food is out of bounds. The ceviche, scallops, Unagi all incredible. Recommended eating at the sushi bar if you can get a spot. The owners and the workers are so friendly. Must try the matcha cheesecake.

Worst omakase experience ever. Very bad service, there are 4 servers around but no one is serving water. No explanation of the food we got. not worth the money they charge. Don’t fall into the reviews don’t they are legit. I’d rather pay 2 times higher to get legit omakase

Explosions of flavors in every bite. I didn't even take a photo. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend the ceviche!

Great food and the staff were very attentive. Really enjoyed the Peruvian Ceviche and Parmesan scallops. The sushi, hand rolls, and specialty rolls were good too.
The ice cream that was part of the churro dessert was amazing!
Free parking lot behind the building.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent—very friendly and attentive from start to finish.
I ordered the Nigiri Omakase, and every piece was perfectly balanced, with just the right ratio of rice to fish, allowing the flavors to shine. The sauces complemented the nigiri beautifully without overpowering them.
The ceviche was outstanding, with sweet potato chunks adding a wonderful texture and subtle sweetness that made each bite special.
But the highlight was the uni tartlet—absolutely incredible. Rich, flavorful, and truly unforgettable.
Overall, a top-notch dining experience. Highly recommended!

I rarely write reviews, but our experience here was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share. We came in as a group of seven, excited to enjoy what we thought would be a high-quality sushi experience—especially given the steep prices. Unfortunately, the customer service was shockingly poor.
Our waitress was extremely rude and inattentive throughout the meal. While we were still eating, she abruptly came over and asked, “Are you all done?”—as if we were being rushed out. Not once were we asked if we wanted dessert or anything else. It felt like they just wanted us to leave.
To make matters worse, they messed up one of our sushi rolls and gave us the wrong one. When they finally brought the correct roll, they still added the wrong one to our bill—without acknowledging their mistake. We had to point it out ourselves.
For a place that charges premium prices, the service was nowhere near what you’d expect. There are plenty of great sushi spots with better food and far better customer service. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values a respectful and pleasant dining experience

Incredibly delicious! I can’t wait to go back! We had the Parmesan scallops, and the Peruvian ceviche with raw halibut. I’m not usually a raw halibut fan, but this was incredible and my favorite dish of the meal! The owner is incredibly gracious and so kind, we will be back again soon (we’ve already been three times since they opened).

I’d been complaining about the lack of great sushi restaurants in the neighborhood but with Akashiro here, I definitely won’t be complaining anymore.
Ordered the omakase, ceviche, and the Akashiro role. Would definitely return for the omakase, and interested in trying out other dishes.

My wife and I had an amazing time. We were lucky to sit at the bar and Chef Diego took care of us. The cebiche was amazing. We enjoyed the fried yucca. The bluefin tuna tiradito was very tasty. Our favorite rolls were the Parri Maki and the Parmesan. We had a dessert that tasted like breakfast. Like a Belgian waffle with syrup. Diego also shared his story and the history behind the Japanese Peruvian fusion. We'll be coming back soon!
