The food was phenomenal, but there there's one thing that has changed is the consistency of the making of certain plates

If you're looking for an authentic spot that's stood the test of time, you need to check out El Camino Real. Sure, you might have to practice a little patience, as getting your food can take a while, but clearly, they're doing something right—they've been around for a long time for a very good reason!

I love El Camino Real! The food is excellent. People are excellent and atmosphere is welcoming. I go to this Mexican restaurant 3 to 4 times a week. Sometimes I get a bean and cheese burrito, maybe a veggie Mexican salad, hard shell tacos, enchilada everything is great. I also love how on some plates provide a small plate with lettuce slice of onion and a slice of tomato. To me not only taste but presentation is important. Many other restaurants just plop food on plate without considering presentation. The addition of onion, tomato’s and lettuce tells me they care about quality plus the prices are great too.

The food is great and delicious. The ladies that have been there forever running the cash register, sometimes (often) give a little attitude. It seems like after Kobe Bryant died, they became emboldened like they're high and mighty as customers discovered that Kobe used to love to come to Camino Real with his family. His wife, Vanessa grew up in the area. She introduced him to this place.

As soon as I walked in and was ignored on a not busy time of the day. Well, that should have told me to leave. Sign says to go a certain way to order. So I did. Then I was standing there like I was invisible. A few minutes go by. Finally, someone knowledge me lol saying you got to go that way. I said sign says different. Man says go that way. I ordered chorizo and eggs plate with potatoes. Everything was blah. No taste at all. Chorizo is meaty but plan. Beans and rice were to salty. At least my soda was good. After my visit. I remembered why it took me 7 years to try it again. Bad decision.

Service was a little slow at first but the food more than made up for it. The steak was tender juicy and cooked exactly to my liking.
