I loved it here! The portions are huge!!!!!
The food was absolutely savory and delicious. I recommend getting 1 breakfast platter to share for 2. The waitress Cindy was very nice, she had such a positive mood and energy. She was kind and has a soft voice <3

Usually, when I go to Black Bear it's a pleasant experience but not today. The server was not very friendly. I ordered a bowl of chili with a cornbread muffin. It took a long time receiving my order. By the time I received my food it was cold. The butter did not melt because the cornbread muffin was cold. I had to ask for another glass of water. I was thinking about having a scoop of ice cream afterwards but she came over and slammed my receipt on the table, so I didn't. And the music was rap which is not appropriate for this restaurant. In the future I will come earlier in hopes of having the early morning staff instead of the 11:00, 11:30 AM staff.

I never knew this franchise existed until my girlfriend and I wanted to try somewhere new. It was such a cozy experience and the staff was very friendly. The food isn’t out of this world, but it hits everything just right. Large portions and reasonable prices. The Bigfoot isn’t nearly as big as the name would imply, so don’t be scared away by it, hahaha

Disappointed. Restaurant smells horrible, the dining area smells like pee. The waiter that welmed us didn't had a name tag and his black clothes were dirty, we were hesitant to order because he didn't even look like an employee. Same employee that mid time our dinner started vacuuming the adjacent booths. It was loud and the strong urine smell was now combined with dust smell. The table was sticky. The mug and glasses were not clean. The cup had lips on it. The food was horrible; I had to return the coleslaw because it tasted bitter and smelled bad. Hope corporate knows about the different standards of this place.

Being an x-truck driver, I fell I'm an expert when it comes to biscuits and gravy. Gravy was good biscuits where hard. Four stars are generous

To start off when we ordered our food we got 2 sandwiches and was told they are on sour dough bread. When we got them there were clearly on white bread and did not even have the taste of sourdough. When I spoke to the waiter she brought the food back and told the cook to put it on sourdough bread and he said it is on sourdough. Went back and fourth and ended up having it taken off my bill. The service was slow but the atmosphere was really quiet which was nice. I do not recommend getting a sandwich here especially if ur wanting sourdough its clearly white bread.

Always love the appeal of a Black Bear Diner and they are consistently above average for a chain restaurant. I got my food quicker than I thought it would and it was very good but the real reason for this review is my server Vanessa. She had many tables she was taking care of but she would always come check on us and managed it so well. She was killing it with the service and made it even more worthwhile.

Personally, and I'm sad to say this, I think this place is going downhill. The food quality, and service (customers to servers ratio) is suffering. Until this last visit, I loved this place. Now, a bit less!
