As a frequent diner at Black Bear Diner, and breakfast lover for the Steak and eggs, or bacon and eggs at Black Bear, make my mouth water. The inside is always warm and cozy like I am in the mountains eating, the coffee is warm and delicious, it whisks me away from everything the moment my lips touch the mug. But the best part of dining at Black Bear Diner is the service from one fantastic person whom goes above and beyond for every customer whom is lucky enough to have her or like me won't sit anywhere but in Jennifer's section. One Saturday I arrived with my family and no Jennifer the place felt different, the diner didn't have it's sparkle and a bit of magic that Jennifer places in the diner. Jennifer makes every person feel they are the only customer in the Diner. I was glad when we returned from a trip to be able to stop in and have breakfast and Jennifer was back, she made us feel like we were missed. When you arrive be sure to ask to be seated in Jennifer's section if you are lucky enough you will hear her singing to the jukebox. Or hear her say as you walk in Welcome, or Good Morning, take a seat anywhere you would like. I can see why Black Bear is lucky to have Jennifer, because when she is not there the place looses a bit of its magic and its charm. Keep up the good job Jennifer. Black Bear Diner is lucky to have you!

Just wanted to give a shout out to Black Bear Diner in Fullerton! Not only did they recently support the fundraiser for Golden Hill Elementary School with a $25 donation, but honestly I LOVE this restaurant! It is reasonably priced for a sit down restaurant. For dinner, I always get their pesto baked Salmon and it is so good. Plus, they will do half carafe of wine if you feel like you want to splurge! My kids always get Breakfast (served all day) for dinner with pancakes, eggs, bacon & sausage. Thank you Black Bear Diner for having a great family friendly restaurant here is Fullerton that also supports the community!

The waitress got our orders wrong. My eggs, Benedict were Over cooked, I did asked if they could go back and redo The eggs, Benedict. It was a bummer. So One of the orders was tri-tip and shrimp. They brought them chicken. They asked for extra potatoes they got vegetables. Another person asked for onion rings and they got fries. Another person Asked for a side of toast with an order that was supposed to have pancakes. They never got their pancakes. I asked for creamer for my coffee never got the creamer. Also She never refilled my coffee, nor any of our drinks. She never came back to To see if we need anything. The ketchup on our table was empty. We had to find ketchup for ourselves. Everyone was done with their lunch and breakfast, and I never got my food. When it did finally Arrived everyone was done eating, so could you pack that food to go? Went to go find the waitress because we needed to pay the bill. I did not want to argue with her. I did want to speak to a manager, but there was no manager to be found. We just paid the bill. I did tell the waitress about our concerns and issues her thing was oh they never ordered pancakes. They only ordered toast. What ever. They did take my eggs, Benedict breakfast off the bill but they had charged me twice. Confused about that one. I gave this place a second chance but still it prove that it not a place that me or my family will be returning. The atmosphere seem good Pleasant when we walked in, they all seem friendly. but the attitude that we received from the waitress was horrible and she even argued with my son. I don't think we will be coming back here. Last time I came here. It was about 10 years ago, and the service was bad then as well..

Today was my first time here. I expected way more especially from all these great yelp reviews. I ordered the meat loaf and it was ok I had better before! The whole experience I felt like I was rushed to get out. The reason's why I hurried up to pay and leave! I don't think I will ever come back! I honestly prefer Norms or I-hop over this place.

I had my first experience at Black Bear Diner this last weekend and I was amazed with the food, server and atmosphere. My server, Cynthia, recommended the country fried steak and I am so glad she did! It was absolutely delicious. It was a great to devour it while taking in all of the bears around the restaurant. My son and I made it a game and started counting all the bears! Cynthia went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and well taken care of. We will definitely be going again.

It was a late rainy night and wanted something comfy to eat and they hit , I ordered the "Little Less" pot roast and it was delicious, hot, tender and savory. The red potato mash was also delicious, it use more veggies but that won't stop me from returning and ordering it again.
