Presentation was very nice. The sashimi for my churashi was ok. Server was friendly and gave me free miso soup but I think it should come with my bowl. We asked for udon brotj refill but she couldn’t provide it because it was made to order (?) Got us more miso soup instead so she was quick on her feet.

I visited Honshu Sushi in Fullerton twice, initially drawn back by the delicious udon soup. Unfortunately, my second visit left me extremely disappointed. Partway through my meal, I found a black hair in my udon soup, which understandably ruined my appetite. Upon bringing this issue to the attention of the staff, rather than receiving an apology or proactive assistance, I was met with annoyance and indifference.
Additionally, an older sushi chef wearing glasses repeatedly gave me disapproving glances, making me feel as though I was somehow to blame for the issue. This reaction from the staff compounded my discomfort and left a lasting negative impression.
While the food initially attracted me to return, the consistently unwelcoming and uncaring service overshadowed any positives. Unfortunately, this experience not only spoiled my meal but significantly reduced my appetite, forcing me to cancel my order entirely.
Due to the unsanitary issue and especially the staff's indifferent and unprofessional response, I wouldn't recommend dining here again.
