We had a reservation but the hostess told us it was still a 25 min wait even though we were there on time for our reservation. We heard her say the same thing to others who showed up with reservations. We ended up sitting at the bar instead and the bartender's service was amazing. The food was ok but not something that I would want to come back for. They got my husband's order wrong and gave him aguachiles when he ordered fish ceviche. The food took over 30 mins to come out. The only thing that made the visit great was the bartender and his amazing service.

Where do I begin?? DO NOT COME HERE!! their ignore game is strong! Service is hella slow!! Not enough staff!! Food very mediocre!! Someone tried to compare it to Javier's Ha! That was a joke!! Javier's would never have you waiting 30mins to be acknowledged!! Floor dirty & slippery! Bar was backed up w/ unwashed glasses! Manager tried to fix the situation , but in my opinion it was too late.

Truly appalled by the service. They switched out the menu for the night. Any vegetarian food that was on it, was taken off with no warning. I went to a Mexican restaurant for Enchiladas and tacos and got neither. Of the food that was still on the menu, the salad I tried to order was something that was supposed to have been taken off. Salads were mediocre at best, “spicy” margaritas were VERY sweet. Despite having a beautiful place (the only reason for the star) they had terrible wait staff (Kept slamming bussing carts into people's chairs and referred to my girlfriend as “sir”). At the end of the night, the waiter asked if he could keep the change from the cash I put down, and when I said no, he took the coins anyway. Our biggest mistake was not leaving after getting the drinks.

Really enjoyed bar service- great cocktails, appetizer and friendly bartender. However main food was lacking flavor, lukewarm and the menu they selected for Valentine's Day was mediocre . Was disappointed that their normal fare was not offered.

I made a reservation on open table for Valentine's Day at 630 pm. I was never asked where I prefer to be seated. When we got there we arrived early but were seated immediately, outside. It was freezing and the heaters were not doing the trick. We requested to be moved inside. The waiter told us that there is a wait list and we wouldn't be able to move. I told him I made a reservation and we arrived early so that doesn't make sense. He then argued that I should have wrote in the reservation where I preferred to sit. There were plenty of open tables inside and no one was waiting in the lobby. He finally offered to move us inside but it was still outside because of the open sliding door wall. Arguing with a customer is unprofessional especially for a nice restaurant, I wasn't complaining about the noise or food, I was freezing my butt off and couldn't enjoy my dinner. A party of 4 came and the hostess moved them immediately when they asked to sit inside. Then another couple the hostess did the same. Not sure why our server was making it a big deal when 2 other parties got moved without question. The food was super good and the other servers that helped us were really nice.

I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. The service was awesome, the drinks were delicious, and the food was tasty. The only thing, it was kind of dark to see. Hahah, it's a vibe though.

We came to Lagos Mexican Restaurant on New Year’s Eve, and while the space itself is stunning, the experience unfortunately fell very short.

Let me start with the positives: the restaurant is beautifully designed. The interior is thoughtful, stylish, and even the bathrooms are impressive. Clearly a lot of money and effort went into the aesthetics.

Now, the service — or lack thereof.

We waited about 25 minutes just to be acknowledged, and that only happened because we flagged someone down ourselves. We never had a dedicated waiter — instead, random staff members would appear sporadically. After finally placing a drink order, I tried to order guacamole… only to be told they ran out of guacamole. On New Year’s Eve. At a Mexican restaurant.

After drinks were dropped off, no one checked on us for another 25–30 minutes. We had to ask for water, and we were never brought chips at all, which is pretty basic for a Mexican restaurant. No refills, no follow-up, nothing. Eventually, we had to stop a different server walking by just to place our food order. When the food arrived, we immediately asked for the check because at that point we just wanted to leave.

The food itself was mediocre at best (6/10) — nothing memorable and definitely not worth the high price point. Add in the lack of atmosphere (no good music, no energy, especially disappointing for New Year’s Eve), and the whole experience felt disorganized and underwhelming.

This place has so much potential based on the space alone, but service is everything, especially at these prices. If this is how things are run during one of the biggest nights of the year, I genuinely don’t see this restaurant lasting long unless major changes are made.

Disappointing experience overall.

Love the atmosphere. Went there yesterday for our anniversary. We ordered all the tacos, two different enchiladas, tamales, diet soda. My wife got the small margarita sampler. After a long wait we were told no diet drinks. She got her mini margaritas and they were basically shots of tequila with a splash of juice. Way too strong. A few others ordered those margaritas and they didn't drink theirs either. Then 20 min after we ordered we were told no tamales. An hour after we ordered we got our food. It wasn't anything to brag about. Service was not good.

We recently dined at Lagos, and while the food showed great potential, the overall experience left much to be desired. Food: The dishes had good flavor and were presented well. You can tell the kitchen knows how to create vibrant, bold tastes. However, some items came out lukewarm, which took away from the enjoyment. Ambience: The restaurant has a beautiful setup with stylish décor and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It feels like a place where you'd want to relax and enjoy a nice meal—at least at first glance. Noise Level: The noise level was perfect—lively enough to feel energetic, but still calm enough to enjoy a conversation without having to speak loudly. Service: The service was the most disappointing part. Staff seemed inattentive and overwhelmed. Our table was left waiting too long for basic requests, and there was very little effort to check in or make sure we were taken care of. It really affected the overall experience. Overall, Lagos has great potential with its food and ambience, but the high noise level and poor service made it difficult to fully enjoy. With improvements in customer service, it could be a much better dining destination.

The waiter dropped two glasses of the margarita flight on the table breaking them and spilling on me. Food got me ill. I was surprised due to the category of the restaurant.

Beautiful location with great potential! The day I visited, it seemed they were short-staffed, and our waiter was clearly overwhelmed — he forgot a few of our requests, and we had to remind him several times. The margarita flight had a wonderful presentation, but the drinks were a bit too sweet for my taste. I couldn’t finish them and ended up ordering water instead. Overall, a lovely spot that could be even better with a bit more attention to service.
