Food is delicious and for the most part consistent in its flavor. What IS ALWAYS consistent and never fails is the attitude of the cashier with the flower in her hair. Her horrible attitude definitely does not match how beautiful and inviting the place is decorated.

Olielicious the server was the worst I’ve ever encountered. I didn’t even get a chance to try the food because after my encounter with her, I canceled my order. She was so disrespectful to me and all the customers that came behind me that I just couldn’t stand to stay and support a business that doesn’t care for their customers, I am a Fullerton local and truly believe in supporting our local businesses but this business does not reflect the values of Fullerton don’t support this business

Though the portions were quite generous given the price point, little else about this dining experience pleased me. I will not not be trying them again.
The short ribs were quite fatty. The kalua pork was surprisingly flavorless. The dole float was, tragically, unavailable due to broken machinery. The mac and potato salad was pretty good. I'd happily eat that again. The cashier was inattentive, curt in her responses, and generally unpleasant. The cleanliness was not terrible, though occasionally lacking; globs of dried, several day old, fingerprint-shaped sauce marred the condiment bottles.

Absolutely delicious Hawaiian food 🌴🌺 Every bite seriously made me feel like I was in Hawaii. The flavors were fresh, comforting, and full of aloha. You can tell everything is made with care. I left feeling happy, full, and already thinking about coming back. If you’re craving authentic Hawaiian vibes and great food, this place is a must! So fresh!!

Let’s start with the positive…the short ribs were DELICIOUS!!
Everything else…i would rather spend $30 plus dollars somewhere else.
Hawaiian rice is normally sticky, their rice was dry (extremely disappointed)!
And the Mac salad….NO FLAVA! It was like mush. The only thing i could taste was potato.
This was my first time eating at Matiki…i would rather go to Ono Hawaiian BBQ for the Mac Salad, rice and the Chicken.
Or go to Ohana Hawaiian BBQ in Whittier for the Chicken and Rice.
Sorry Matiki, but you have over priced and under flavored Hawaiian BBQ.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND MATIKI for Hawaiian BBQ!

Went here for the first time. Food was delicious! The lady working the cashier who had headphones around her neck, she was super nice! She was smiling, dancing and very accommodating.
The atmosphere was cool but little outdated and dirty especially the bathrooms. Toilet paper on the floor, wish they kept it up better.

First and last time I visit this place dont belive the picture that look like the server big portions cause they definitely robbed me for $23 dollars today
I JUST HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITJ THIS PLACE! When I can to pick up my food it was tied up so I asked if there was hot sauce, she looked at me like I was an idiot and said yes, so I just thought it was a dumb question but when I got home there was no hot sauce, only teriyaki sauce. So I called to let her know and she didn't pick up the first 5 times I called, then when she finally did she just put me on hold for 15 MINUTES. I hung up called back and when she answered I said hey did you forget about me, and she said sir I have a line, idk what that means but the girl at the cashier has the worst customer service ever, she is an absolute nightmare and embarrassment to this company, because the food here is actually really good. Management has to do something about this, that cashier is disrespectful and miserable.

This is really hard for me to post because I absolutely love their food but I will never return to there Fullerton location. Customers are a major inconvenience for the employees, employees would rather ignore you than take your order. Then throw you dirty looks while ordering your food. Been to the Fullerton location about 6 times and every time the samething, excellent food, with extremely angry employees. Won't be going back, theirs literally a Hawaiian BBQ on every corner now.
