One of the best restaurants I've eaten at in a while!!! Will definitely be coming back.
Our party of 4 were seated after a 10min wait and we put in our orders within 10min of sitting down but our food came out 1hr and 30min later.....
we were so hungry that we had to bring in snacks we had in the car.
We also noticed the tables that were seated after us got food within 30min after they were seated...
We were the only ones waiting for our food and even the table next to us thought we didn't order.
Also, i asked if the curry comes with rice and the waiter said one rice comes out but when we saw that only 1 rice came out when we ordered 3 curries, the waiter said no matter how many curries we order, only 1 bowl of rice comes out....
He did not explain correctly and there was no apology of the food coming out so late..
The food was actually really good but we did not feel good when we left.

Our part of four went here for my birthday dinner. When we arrived, they looked at us and continued talking to each other for several minutes before they came to seat us. I had reservations and the guy who talked to us/sat us treated us like an aggravation or interruption to his day. Once we were sat, it again took awhile before he came to take drink or appetizer orders. We had questions about the menu, and the guy didn't seem super interested in helping us, so we ordered what sounded good. Once the food came they didn't come by on their own again -- didn't ask how it was, didn't ask if we needed anything else, didn't offer water refills, etc. I don't expect waiters and waitresses to fall all over themselves serving me, but this was less than they bare minium. The food was excellent. The paneer tikka masala, mango lassis, garlic naan, chicken biryani was all top tier. We likely won't return though. We have some Indian restaurants around us where they're friendlier and more helpful.
Best Swag Paneer I've ever had. I came right after a rush so I had a tiny wait, but the staff checked in often so the time passed by well. And the wait was worth it. Had such amazing food!

Food was good and I liked the atmosphere except for the tv screens playing loud music videos. Not happy that an automatic gratuity was added to aour party of 5. Server never checked on us while we were eating and we needed drinks. Then had to pay gratuity not based on actual service.
Amazing good and environment !!

A Hidden Gem for Indian Cuisine
We've been dining at Spice Social for the past couple of years, and they never miss. The restaurant consistently delivers exceptional food and service, setting a high standard that few Indian restaurants can maintain.
From the rich and flavorful butter chicken to the perfectly seasoned lamb chops, every dish showcases quality ingredients and expert preparation. Their garlic naan is always fresh and aromatic, and the balance of spices in their curries is impeccable. Even something as simple as their chai or coffee is thoughtfully prepared.
What surprises me most is that Spice Social isn't always packed, given how consistently excellent they are. Indian restaurants often struggle with consistency, but Spice Social has mastered it. If you're looking for top-tier Indian cuisine with reliable service, this spot is a must-visit.
Want to give a special shoutout to Mani who was an incredible bartender. Very attentive and made sure we were doing well several times

Edit (feb 16 2025)
The price increase is absurd. I remember paying 9-10$ for a plate of vada paav now its 14$
Same goes for samosa.
The price increase is just absurd and I don't know what are they thinking with respect to this decision

We got take out. Unfortunately, I have lowered my rating from 5 to 3 stars because half of the the naan bread we ordered was almost solid black (burned) on both sides and tasted bad. Also, I ordered fish tika masala spice level mild, and it was almost too spicy to eat. I asked for utensils, and they only put two sets in, and we ordered three entrees. Feels like they've lost the attention to detail they used to have.

Well, my wife had heard great things about this place. Drove there from Irvine as my parents were visiting from India. And Boy, this was definitely far from the hype
Food - Food was average. We ordered bunch of apps to start. Aloo Chaat was decent but Soya Chaap, Moong chaat were average and Spring rolls were hard to to eat. We left without eating dinner because of service..more on that below
Service - Horrible. We went in at 6:45p with not many diners. Its a sit-down restaurant but they did not assign us a server for entire night. It was downhill from there. Asked multiple servers for someone to come take an order, utensils, sauces etc. We had to standup and go to the bar multiple times to ask for food that was late. No one came to ask for our dinner order. We left without dinner because of service but the manager didnt seem to realize why we were upset.
They had the audacity to add 18% gratuity to our bill that we didnt notice until we were on the road.
Anyway - it could be an off night for them but with no shortage of good Indian food options in OC, I would take your money some where else.
