Oh nostalgia, you take like Okazya :)

Great local mom and pop terriyaki joint. The owners are super nice and great people. This is a fullerton institution.

I live near this Japanese style food restaurant but never have tried, today I decided to have for dinner with my family, my wife had the combo #02(combos come with beverage)she got beef and with white rice and x2 piece californa roll, I got combo #01 chicken and white rice with 4 dumplings, and for my 5yr old son we got him chicken no sauce with rice with the option of a mini box size, perfect for a toddler, we all were very pleased with the food quality and taste.
The chicken is very authentic in flavor not like most fast food, highly processed chicken taste and the sauce is made their, so it's very homemade hand crafted taste which I personally love, I have fall in love with the flavor and I am excited to try more of the dishes served here.
If your are someone who eats slop, highly processed food, made to feed cancer cells you probably won't appreciate the authentic flavor of a dying food craft made with love, this is not fast good, if you appreciate food craft to a culinary degree this place is for you.
Cya soon Okazya!

Grew up eating daily lunch specials. I feel like they are still the best teriyaki in the US.

I ordered a vegetable tempura bowl, which was extremely generous! The pieces of vegetables were huge. It was pretty heavy with the grease and that’s what ultimately removed a star from my review. I also ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl. I asked to add vegetables and learned that it’s not an additional price because they do it by weight. I eat Flame Broiler regularly and this is similar. The sauce at this restaurant is much lighter and the chicken is probably not as intense in flavor, but the bowl is very good. I would order it again. They have a little table with condiments and they offer the ginger which is yummy but it is the pink dyed ginger, which is unfortunate. It’s very tasty, however. They seem to do a good business with a ready supply of people wandering in to enjoy their food. The young man behind the register was very helpful and patient. They have various specials and that seems to be a good deal if you wanna take advantage of a daily special or a combination. I think the price is a reasonable, which is nice these days.

This place is a hidden gem. Their in house made sauce is the best I have tried at a teriyaki joint! I always order the spicy half beef and half chicken. I love teriyaki, and still have not found one that is as good as this place that is closer to my home! I highly recommend!

I've been going to Okazya for years, and it's always good. You can customize your teriyaki bowl with different options. I also like their curry bowl, and their udon noodle soup is yummy with nice thick noodles.

I’m glad I decided to try this place out. Apparently this teriyaki place has been here since 1985. I can see why the food is super delicious and affordable. 😋

This is not your ordinary non japanese owned teriyaki spot that uses fake high fructose corn syrup teriyaki and long grain rice. This spot is 100% authentic Japanese teriyaki!

How can you tell? They use short grain rice, have togarashi chilli flakes, ginger, chilli oil, free green onions, and sesame seeds, as optional toppings , and they also sell chashu pork. I can tell that they use japanese imported products cause I used to work at Marukai, aka Tokyo Central, when I was younger and can taste it.

The portions are big and the teriyaki sauce is not overly sweet and overpowering like some spots.

This is a family owned restaurant that's been here since 1985 and the quality of their food and hospitality proves why! Really tastes like home made food.

Ill definitely be returning if I have work near by. Thanks!
